Stop rampant over spending

Force teams to develop youth

Make league more competitive

Would do everything FFP said it was trying to do l, but we know that was never the intention it was just to protect the big boys from having leagues full of oil rich clubs coming in

But we are seeing now it's not working or fit for purpose

Veliz and Scarlett are both 19 and have never played at anywhere near as high of level as Orban who is listed at 21 with a background that definitely raises a degree of wonder if he's in fact older than that.

Orban is really intriguing. His level of performance right now, not some hypothetical future, is extremely high, it's just taking place against (relatively) weak competition.

Relegation wouldn't matter at all in a cap system it's something that 100% needs to be looked at especially in the championship.

Clubs on average in the championship are spending 120% of turn over just on wages. The whole football system on England is a giant bubble that will burst but to many people are making to much money to care about it

The question about Orban's age is an interesting one, I'd lean towards 21 being his real age, for one he does look young, and secondly I have a hard time believing someone with his talent could make it to a much older age without being scouted, it's a marvel that he was only discovered at 19 as it is.

Making the league more equal =/= making the league more competitive.

The American system makes for a dogshit product and serves only to enshrine the interests of ownership against the interests of labor, just like every other industry with a uniquely American system.

The huge financial inequality of European football ain't perfect no doubt, and reasonable regulation is a good idea, but the one-size-fits-all franchise model enforced parity is a dystopia, do not let it in the front door.

NFL is far from a dog shit product IMO

And yes you get shit owners in the NFL but you also do in the Prem. Mike Ashley, the Alams Blackpool owners all took there clubs for a ride and squeezed every penny they could out of em.

And the cap doesn't have to be a small cap or even something that is easily reached. I'd never expect a club like Luton to be spending what Man city are.

But it would stop clubs like City and Chelsea from legit hoarding 22 international players and going out and blowing clubs out the water in rages.

Like FFS we are watching Liverpool being humiliated by Chelsea right now who ain't even in Europe and how are legit just buying players just so Liverpool can't have them .

Something needs to give

There are some good clubs in Argentina, but context is important.

The Argentine league has 28 teams with a lot of garbage at the bottom playing a single round-robin, the Belgian has only 18 in which Genk was in a season-ending playoff series against the better teams. Genk was also in the Europa League last year and Orban has a hattrick in the Conference League this year, whereas Veliz' Rosario Central hasn't been in the continental competitions while Veliz has been there.

All in all the teams Orban has played against are much stronger than those Veliz played against.

Veliz did score a brace in a 3-3 draw against River Plate on July 24th, that's pretty good. That might be available for replay on Paramount Plus maybe I could fire that up...:ange-hmm:

That's another thing with Veliz though, he arrives here having just finished a full season at a pretty tender age. Giving him some time and a "pre-season" would do him some good, whereas Orban is ready to rock.

I'd guess 75 for and 55 against.
