Which is why various measures will be taken between now and the end of the window..... Sales, Loans, Releases.

Prediction:

Stay:
Dav
GLC
Perisic
Sess (Injured - n/a)
Gill (Injured - n/a)

Sold:
Winks (£10m)
PEH (€20m + add-ons)
Dier (nominal fee)
Reg (nominal fee)

Loan:
Ndombele (part payment of wages)
Rodon
Spence
Parrot
White

Release:
Lloris (Released - Will we have to pay some of his final year's wages still?)
Wonder if your idiot leader will try and loan out ten players again, without realising the rules and have to cancel a players contract at the last minute? Serial bed shitter Levy

Bought?

De Bruyne out for four months. By my reckoning that makes us favourites for the title now

The other trick is what if Sanchez really wants to go?

We really need to retain one of them, even though neither is particularly suited to the system.

I'd say that it's not worth retaining Dier even if that does happen..... Dav is WAY more suited to the way we play...... He's proved that much already.

If both go:

We already have #1a & #1b
We're currently missing a #1c
4th - Dav
5th - Davies
6th - Phillips

Six for 2 spots would have been overkill anyway given our trimmed fixture list this season. As I said in another thread; if you're down to playing your 5th & 6th CB in a season like ours you just have to accept that you've just been fucking unlucky.

So we would spend the £7 mil we'd get for Ndombele on someone who isnt a cheap punt, or not sell him (and others) at all so we dont have to spend money on more players and rather keep their wages on the books?

Since the squad is bloated, we could try to sell the deadwood and bring in 1-2 quality replacements. If we get rid of everyone we wont use and bring in 1-2 players, we would most likely save some on wages too.

In either case, Levy keeping deadwood around on purpose so he doesnt have to spend makes zero sense to me.

You can probably add Tanganga to the sell list

Have a feeling this transfer window will be a record high spend in premier league and globally. Fuck knows how Chelsea are getting away with this. Saw on sky last night back pages liverpool might be complaining to premier league about it. It's getting out of control and needs a wage cap and spend limit percentage to turnover. 115m for caicedo is ludicrous money.
