It's also not Palace's job to decide on a fair value of what he's worth and then sell him to us at that price, they will come up with a fee that they want to get out of the transfer, and then add the 20% on to that as the fee to ensure that they get theirs.

The notion that this 20% sell on clause helps us as someone else suggested is nonsense, they won't charge less to avoid passing on less, they will want more to make sure they end up getting the amount that they want at the end of it all.

It looks like an impossible deal for so many reasons at this moment in time, and if it's true that we have gone to them and enquired then I'd say it reflects poorly on us, as it's blindingly obvious that it's not going to happen.

Unless of course Chelsea decide they want him too, then he'll be signed up to a contract until he's 50 in no time...

Not especially, once they give QPR 20%....... That becomes 36m.

People said Olise at 35m was cheap/a steal and he's younger and less proven..... So at that point; what's the diff?

A club's only obligation is to get the best price they can for themselves.

Eze won’t happen until next year (if at all).

Importantly, he doesn’t seem that fussed about moving. He can have another season being the main man and then make a decision.

You misunderstood.

1. That was said with a part exhange for Dier in mind.... It would mean they're 'paying' less for Dier.

2. The 20% means that any diff. between their asking price and the bid price is actually less from CPs perspective.
 
I just can’t see us getting Eze, although he would be a fantastic signing. Yet another time where Levy has not pulled the trigger on a player in the Championship only to see their value explode once they reach the PL.

From a Palace POV I think they would be relegated if they sold Zaha, Olise and Eze in one window. Even Roy’s magic powers can’t overcome that.

Be careful with the context of that word otherwise we might have to ask ACAS to intervene. Lots of outside influences determine and affect transfer fees e.g. market/book values, profit/return, length of contract, playing position, age, ability, selling club's finances and player's desire to stay or go.......oh and lest we forget money laundering.

I had of course mentally applied all or most of the above during my negotiations with Palace but felt a x2 return of profit most reasonable .....Palace of course may think otherwise.....Palace I hear you say Palace, who the fuck are Palace?

Why is it poor from us.....?

Interest > Enquiry > Decide whether the asking price works for us.....

That's just standard stuff. How else do you expect us to proceed?
