I'd be worried if any player coming here thinks he's an automatic choice. So that's either a conversation to have or he's had it and thinks another club may give him 'playing guarantees' before he joins a club. So swapping them means they have a FFP "book" profit on the 2 transfers this year of £28m minus £10m = £18m.

Playing such boring negative football and giving off the notion that the players can't play football isn't a good look.
When you're winning and playing good football, and teams realise our players aren't actually shit, they've just been coached horribly, you'll find it easier to sell your deadwood. Look under Poch where we couldn't sell the deadwood in his first season but after a few years we would sell the likes of Wimmer for 18m
Hopefully, the fact Sanchez has shown he is actually a capable player means his stock has risen a bit and we can get a decent fee for him.
Yep like what I have previously get one senior CB to go with Romero and VDV then use Phillips and Dorrington as back up.
Need 2 players per position. Tanganga is off and Dier can’t do high line. If Sanchez goes and we get Tosin then we will need another.
If Tosin is really good and 3rd choice then obviously we can bring in a 4th choice but all our defenders will clearly need to be suited to high line and also half decent on the ball.
This is my opinion, part of the fun, I know lots will disagree. I think this window has once again turned into a bit of a shambles, other teams seem to be linked with players, then get their business done without too much fuss. We skirt around the edges, wondering if we can find an extra 50p down the back of the sofa. This window really should have been the start of a clear out, unfortunately it has not happened.
