We are very attractive club for players to choose. We are in London a very attractive city for players to come too. We pay well. We have been in the Champions League numerous times even reaching the final in 2019. I do not think it is a surprise that Maddison chose to live in London over Newcastle at one of the largest best supported clubs in the world.

I am starting to wonder if you are troll or you do not understand how big a club that you support is.

What I said about Maddison is entirely reasonable....... That doesn't mean I don't value or have no respect for our history and our club.

No Player would choose to go live in Newcastle over Spurs if the conditions were equal and even slightly unequal positions they would still choose us.

I'm no fan of Levy or ENIC, but the lengths some of you go to live in this world where he is purposely sabotaging the club is laughable. Turning Ange making a statement that he doesn't want incomings until the squad is trimmed, into "fucking ENIC and Levy sell Kane and we still have to sell before we can buy"? Maybe...just fucking maybe Ange is happy with the squad... and hold on to your seats - maybe he actually doesnt want to bring in anymore players without getting rid of a few... and this is crazy talk here, but stay with me... maybe Ange sees the team in practice everyday and knows more than fans on a fucking message board. Some of the lines spouted on here is borderline conspiracy level shit.

The line between sabotage and incompetence is very thin.

Levy has crossed it numerous times.

At the end of last season there was big talk about contracts ripped up and massive rebuilds.

Looks like we decided to wait it out to see if players could be sold instead. Even if that means slowing down the rebuild process.

People will chime in about it being smart business decisions to get as much in etc etc but if those players are still here and the manager can't bring in the players he needs for the rebuild, they are incompetent football decsions.

If they are a bad influence most certainly . Woolwich felt that way supposedly and bit the bullet with Ozil albeit a shortish contract , but they also did it with PEA at a greater cost.

I feel like we have quite literally heard this exact quote every single window for the past 15 goddamned years. I get that shifting unwanted, spoilt players is tough. I get that they have high wages and may not want to leave the cushy confines of Spurs Lodge and London.

But FFS can we maybe realize this and plan for it? Every year it’s August 20th and we just finally realize that we may need to take a hit on squad players to sell them. It’s a joke.

ignoring for a moment whether the ITK is real, you got think we have some of the worse players in football in the squad with the trouble it is to find clubs for them. tanguy ,dier and reggie are just going to see out his contract here no doubt, be it deep in the reserves or on loan somewhere else were we pay the majority of their wage

So many things go into planning. Maybe learn a single valuable lesson, just one lesson, and attempt to put it into practice.

-if we’ve struggled to shift these same players for close to 5 years now using our strategy of wait and see.. maybe it’s time to re think the outgoing strategy
-if it appears that there’s nothing wrong with our strategy of selling players and the issue is just solely interest-based bc the players are shite, then accept that too
-make a cost-benefit analysis of what will happen if we continue to keep these wages on the books and leave us unable to buy new players, and accept that maybe some tough decisions need to be made to back Ange.

This is a crucial period for our club and not getting in a good attacker and CB depth could be the difference between 9th and 4th, I’m being dead serious. Failing to back Ange in the market due to our strategy of banging our head against the wall hoping something changes with outgoings is unacceptable.

Everyone should be able to vent. But lets also try and turn this on it's head a bit.

Do you have a partner or a close friend?

What would you say to them if they were constantly venting about the same thing relentlessly for weeks to you?

Surely at some point you would think it was appropriate to say hey, look, I get what you are frustrated about and it IS frustrating, but the venting clearly doesn't make you feel better and perhaps it would be a good idea to figure out how to get from how you are feeling now to what would make you feel better about the situation? Changing the narrative and putting in some positive actions might give you a better perspective.

If my mrs was venting to me about something I was doing, as long as it wasn't her being mental, I'd change what i was doing.
Sadly that sentiment isn't reciprocated in our house.
As for this place, instead of telling people who vent to stop because you don't like it, how about you stop reading and replying?
