Not particularly bothered by the Lo Celso stuff. Firstly, who knows if it’s even true. Being upset after two games seems a little unlikely. If it’s true and he is upset…that’s just too bad. If Maddison needs a rest or picks up an injury we needs someone with a little creativity.

We have only subbed one midfielder per game. Sarr for Skipp to chase a goal against Brentford, Maddison was doing great and Bissouma was needed for defense.

Then Hojbjerg for Sarr against Man United to be more defensive. No need to change Maddison or Bissouma.

Not playing GLC is nothing. Our midfield has been great both games and only changed due to late tactics. GLC will get chances this next week with the cup match.

You weren’t a little surprised it was Sarr over Lo Celso vs Brentford. At that point in the match, Brentford were pinned back. The match was there for the taking if we brought on another offensive spark.

Can’t fault Ange going with Sarr. Getting out with a point was important but thought Lo Celso could’ve helped get us 3 points.

Is GLC actually any more offensive than Sarr? He’s a tricky, skilful player but lacks punch IMO. Weak

I agree but it's about a mix. We will never fill our squad with young talent alone.

Its about building a strong squad then pushing the boat out when it matters to add the missing link.

B4 buying rice, Woolwich already had decent midfield options bought smartly. Partey, Odegaard, Xhaka.

- Xhaka - Smartly???? (1 good season, previously a club villain!)
- Haverz for 65m = Smart??? LOL
- Rice for 100m isn't "smart"..... Paying excessive money for a player everybody knows about isn't an act of intelligence.

Harbouring a suspected rapist isn't smart either.

Rice transforms it to an excellent set of midfield options.

Something we already have ourselves.......

What did you mean by “on brand for the bloke”?

Are you new to the bloke or something?

He's thought to be delicate, flakey and uncommitted by a lot of this fanbase for years now (and rumoured to be not especially liked by the peripheral staff aroundthe club).... It's only a bright pre-season and hope that he's turned a corner that has earned him a very recent reprieve with most here.

Please don't pull this shit on me..... You as good as called me racist over similar comments towards Ndombele and yet a month or so later you're all in on the very same opinions.

He's thought to be injury prone because he is. Some think he's a player that can get kicked out of a game but personally never saw that because Jose asked him to be a holding mf player and he did it.

I'm just wondering why you said it's on brand for him to pull a sulk over playing time and ask to leave when I can't remember him doing that before.

If he plays left back then the system will get tweaked because he can’t play where Udogie has been playing.
Based on two games? My point was that it only happens in an extreme set of circumstances.

Systems are systems and are not based around one given individual. You might be right. You might also be wrong.

I'm not in the business of hobbling horses so I can say "I told you so" but I guess we might find out at some stage this season.

I think this Lo Celso story may be nonsense- it’s so easy to write that speculatively just after he’s been dropped.

Maddison injury means GLC will likely start the next two matches- let’s see how he plays and his attitude and base out judgment on that rather than a random Spanish media outlet.

No because all preseason we have been hearing how Ange loves Sarr. He was marked untouchable by Ange apparently.

Lo Celso needs to prove himself more after his embarrassing time last time in the Premier so it makes sense that Sarr is ahead of him.

Exactly

Imagine our defensive options we if we signed a Tapsoba

Given Bayern and ManU had talks with his club, but decided against due to fees being demanded I suspect it will remain a dream.

He has 3 years left on his contract so club do not need to be reasonable - and given ManU's propensity to overpay, the higher price rumours of £80m or so might be true.
