Exactly, I can’t imagine that the same scouts who signed Alejo Veliz for £15m this summer are just now discovering Redondo.

The part that I like though is the South American market. You look at Galactico £100m players like Caicedo, Enzo, Vinicius, etc they were all plucked off the continent at a young age by smart clubs. We can do that too, especially with our network there growing.
Yes.

There is clearly value there.

The final chapter eh? What utter self important meaningless rhetoric devoid of any fact or recourse.
Spurs of course carry on long after Levy or any of us have left this world.

But the book was closed on the Pochettino Era the day Kane was sold, and now we're onto something new, centered in what's to come rather than what's come before.

I’d say that Ange is as likely as any manager we have seen to get us back to the precipice though. Maybe faster than Levy will be ready for.
And that's the thing with this.

Under Mourinho and Conte, every transfer window was the last ditch moment to resolve all the contradictions of Summer 2018 and the failures to make the most of what Poch did. It had to complete the mission, it had to solve the whole puzzle, if we left either of those managers short of what was required to raise the next trophy WHAT WAS THE POINT? We banged our head against that wall for the last four years.

That's not where we're at anymore. Love it or hate it, but it's important to understand it.

It would be interesting to know what we’re doing to get rid of the players we don’t want beyond telling them to find new clubs. If they’re still involved with the first team squad then as we’re seeing they appear to be happy to just pick up a salary and run down their contracts. Whereas and as harsh (in some cases) this may sound, we should be keeping them away from the first team and all other ages groups. If they’re serious about playing football then they should be more forthcoming about accepting terms elsewhere. Ange obviously like any other manager/coach will want to build an excellent team spirit but you can’t do that when you’ve got players you no longer want hanging around.

50% of his goals are scored with his left foot. 50% with his right foot. And, 50% with his head.

Didn’t quite finish this. I just don’t think he’s got a super high ceiling and I’d rather we gave Richarlison and Son The CF for this season and spent money adding creative/clever/productive wide forwards and midfielders.

Gil could be the player you’re describing but with Perisic staying I can’t see him making the registered squad list. We would pretty much have to leave out/get rid of the players we don’t want and then also sell/loan out Sanchez and Lo Celso? Unless we can bring in an under 21 replacement for either of these two, we would need buy a homegrown player (not many options about and certainly not at sensible fees).
