Not letting myself get wound up that we’re not throwing money around. It’s just not the way we operate and no amount of moaning is going to change our model.

We’ve made loads of mistakes in previous windows and we’ve been left with a huge squad we can’t shift.

At this point I’m happy we’re almost starting again with a new team. signing more and more players isn’t what we need right now.

We need some patience while the mess is sorted - and to let Ange do his thing with the squad we have.

We won’t fix everything in one window. I can already see progress on the pitch - there’s another window in January and we might even do well to have the kane money stored away when ange has given a few players even more of a chance to prove themselves (rich, kulu im looking at you)
Good post. That's how I see it. We've got a fair few few wires to untangle before we're purring but the potential is there for real.

Levy has fucked up time after time. He's chosen wisely with Ange. He can get this one right if he unclenches his sphincter and has faith in the people beneath him and what they're assembling. Ange isn't asking for the greatest and most expensive players, just the right ones to fit his team.

so that only leaves woolwich!! they dont mind Rapists so he should fit in well

Genuine question...

Why are people so obsessed with how much we have spent? I understand that to compete with Man City we will need to win the spending but United try it every season and seemingly fail, Chelsea have spent more money than everyone combined and looked shite all last season.

Then you have a team like Brighton who don't seem to spend a penny but have built and incredible side that play the kind of football we all love to watch.

So honestly why does it matter how much we spend when the only thing that matters is how well the players we buy perform for us.

Romero, Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr, Udogie all would like have cost us 2x what we paid for them this summer - We picked up one of the top 5 performing midfielders in the league for 40 mil when if Conte would have sanctioned the deal last year he likely would have also cost double.

According to my calculation we have until a week on Friday to complete our business.

Offload about 6 players, get another forward and CB.

Don't see it happening myself.

Outs I assume = PEH LoCelso Spence Dier Lloris Sanchez.

So we may well also need another midfielder to replace LoCelso.

The principle of moneyball is spending very little money and getting the ultimate bang for your buck.

This cunt has spent 1 billion in 8 months. That is not moneyball
Perhaps it’s moneyball 2.0. They must have a strategy. Someone has given the fat prick a billion - what for? What’s their business case? It’s lunacy
