Fans were saying that about Romero and Maddison. The gambling aspect though is a risk.

Problem is Toney is close to elite as a striker, unless we have Osimhen coming there are few better. He can do the whole game, score, hold up, run in behind, press. About as rounded a striker you will see in the league.
Toney's off field shenanigans are a real risk though.

He's older than both Maddison & Romero. Impending fatherhood seems to be settling Maddison down, and Romero has been fantastic this season as the leader at the back.

Crucially, Ange is trying to build a culture, a camaraderie, at Spurs.

Romero & Maddison are both showing strong signs of being all in.

If Toney wasn't first choice every week, would you back him to be a good teammate & professional?

I'm far from convinced.

I'd rather back Ange's eye for talent - given his comments on spotting players with elite qualities outside the highest transfer bracket.

To Dare Is To Do. To Dare Is To Do. have you got time to roll out the "Gross means more" testimony one more time please?

I can't keep up with what's considered kosher anymore and would hate to be labeled biased towards ENIC.

Gross means more when you’re good at selling (like getting 130m for Mount and Havertz) not when you sell your star and barely spend any on top of that to replace him.
