This was mostly my point.

City don't need Nunes, he doesn't really suit them nor has he proven he's anywhere near their level. Yet they want to get him in because they obviously think he adds something and willing to pay way over the odds, probably double his true value to get him in.

Why are we mocked by our own fanbase for doing so?

No one thinks Johnson is worth whats banded about. But frankly, who cares. If Ange wants him and thinks he adds something for this team. Pay the money and get him in.

Football is more than an individual. A player who might be average but gives the team an extra dimension improves the whole team, if the team does well the value of all the players can go up. Look at Rose and Dembele under AVB vs Poch, their value increased probably 2-3 times.

Players should not be thought of as individuals, football is a team game so the manager, the system, the players all have to fit into one. Sometimes we can get players cheap and other times we have to pay over the odds to build a cohesive team.

But losing Sanchez and keepin dier as number one CB reserve is frightening
Don’t see it happening, honestly the balls Ange has shown soo far, believe Philips may well get the 4th Bench spot Dorrington may be the higher potential but physically Philips looks much closer to fully grown (my own requisite for CB especially).

Forest fans seem a bit down he is off which is always a good sign.
This one is encouraging.

"Well I'm blindly hoping that the concrete talks fall apart. We were always going to lose Brennan one day - what a talent he is - but my hope was that it would be after this season: he's nowhere near the finished article though I think of all realistic options linked, a move to Spurs under Ange, who will play him in a system he suits might be best.

I came to the realisation earlier in the window that it's very hard to fit BJ into our line up with Cooper's newly preferred formation that we seem to be switching into... As such I don't expect a like for like replacement (unless you class Hudson Odoi or Elanga as one) but a different approach this year.

It's been incredible watching Johnson's rise with us - he's such an intelligent footballer that he was always going to figure out the step ups - but to see him go from his L1 loan spell to a 50m prem player has been something we should cherish. That doesn't happen very often, and is probably something we won't see again in my lifetime.

So it'll be thanks and all the best Brennan from me - I hope he continues his rise with us after the concrete talks fall apart (I'll say something nicer if it goes through!)."

It's nonsense. How many people does he really think he's reaching with that kind of video. How many people have time to watch 51 minutes of an incredibly boring man talking about football. Just give us the key info in a 5 minute vid, its not hard.
I mean he not exactly selling these as quick bullet-point videos. They’re essentially podcasts of him talking out his thoughts on what’s happening in the Spurs world for the week.

I’m not interested in them at all either but feels weird to chastise him for not providing something he’s under no obligation to. people complaining can literally find the bullet points by googling ‘Tottenham hotspur’ and looking at the top headlines.

We bagged big money for Kane. I think we believe we should pay under the odds for players and overload our sales.

if we end up with no one this window it will cost us a lot more.

3 fcuking days.
Hey there, level one, thought you never swore?!

Agree about the under/over payment part (Levy can’t help himself and we (subconsciously often) get drawn to alignment with such views).

If we don’t get a couple in, it will stink of the usual excessive frugality our owners soo often exhibit.

Those who safeguard the parasites reputation will regurgitate “but our squad size…” nonsense, we have the capital and budget to allow 2-3-4 players to sit outside the squad = if they choose last few days to sit out their contracts.

''RENNES SUBMIT €9M OFFER FOR TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR DEFENDER DAVINSON SÁNCHEZ''

Take it. Time has run out for any fucking about with our outs in the CB area. Bye Dav.

Seems highly rated their end, they think they are getting fleeced at £50m
“You can never really know the world around you, all you have is your interpretation of it”.

To Forrest, they have a player of clear
Prem quality, in this age any player like that is worth a basic £50m (if attacking) as it destabilises their potential to remain under the money tree (Premier League).
