For what it’s worth I don’t think he’d be bad at all, he’s much more built for the high line half space defending in the mold of a VdV than someone like Dier. I obviously haven’t seen much of him and he wasn’t great last weekend but think we could do worse rotation-wise. If VdV went down we’d be truly fucked, this would help with that at least.

Especially when we’ve been hearing we need more homegrown players… it’s one thing to go for talented/established homegrown players and another to go for a perma-crock who’s cheap. Why struggle to clear the deadwood when we seem perfectly happy to add more dross.
