I'm not saying he should be a starter, and yes - sometimes teams change formations later on in games. His experience would help develop our young and sometimes rash players. Hope this helps.

Last time I checked, we still had other centre-backs or in your straw-man scenario do you think that we sell everyone apart from Romero, VDV and Bonucci? A scenario that now will never happen because he's already gone to Berlin?
