I’m a relatively new Spurs fan, two years now from the State of Minnesota. How is it that Spurs can’t afford to splash $60-65 million for either Eze or Solanke? They are raking in the cash hand over fist due to the new stadium. I get were not going to spend like Woolich or Chelsea, but having our all-time biggest signing be $60 million sounds like something that would be true of a club like Forest, not an “alleged” big six club.

Which is no one, after his contract expires with us he isn't getting that type of money.

Unless we're willing to loan him out again, he needs to accept that and go elsewhere. A year on the bench will lower his future wages even more.
Hopefully he has a forward-thinking agent (whom he trusts and listens to) who will take all factors into consideration to maximize his future earnings.

Reading current reports, it sounds like he’s under ‘The Lloris Delusion’ that he can start for a top-tier team with European football.

Didn't he struggle when Pep played him inverted?

Cancelo is a good player, great on the ball but he can be a bit dodgy defensively. Pep got rid of him and Zinchenko who are nice ball players but bit suspect at the back and has Walker, Akanji, Ake, Gvardiol who are very physical full backs who can cover.

Its the one area Pep seems to be very careful physically as City are most vulnerable on the counter in wide channels.
