We could do a lot worse than Madueke for that RW position.
I doubt Chelski will accept bids for Madueke after his game today ...

Honestly think if you watch Gvardiol and Walker against Everton their average position will be just as high. If you want to dominate games it comes with the territory. The average starting position of all our defenders is so high that they are certainly being asked to do more high intensity sprints and recoveries of the ball on turn overs.
So the verticality or lack of isn't the issue. We are asking a hell of a lot of them you only have to watch us live to see it and this is my point. It's attritional and in the end it has consequences. I'm not one of those football fans interested in Squawka or such like so you'd have to look elsewhere for one of those metric debates visa Man City.
I don’t have the numbers but I’d bet they cover as much if not more.
Inverted FB is a horizontal positional change not a vertical one. Tbh a wide FB in a dominant possession team probably has to cover even more ground because they aren’t there to counter press much but have you get back and control the whole flank because the wide attacker inverts.
If anything inverted FBs are about being better defensively in transition because they are there controlling the middle of the park when you lose the ball.
I doubt if he ever gets sucked off fella!.....I'm naive when you are this miserable about the fortunes of a business masquerading as a football club?
Have a word.
I bet you are still miserable when you get sucked off. "The technique was bad. Should have gone for a few more seconds. I'm worried about how bad it'll be next time. You could have cleaned up after. "
If you can't even smile and enjoy a dominant win then maybe this isn't the form of entertainment for you.
Yep and it's very demanding. High risk and supposed similar reward. Too often last season we'd mess up the playing out turn over the ball and queue the mad dash back that made Udogie look positionally suspect and required too many last man tackles that risked injury. That was my substantive point. It's not what you do but the way you do it. We were way below Cities standard .They are also about supporting a higher press and helping you suck teams in and play out through the press when building from the back.
Probably explains the misery
I actually think he’s underrated and most folk think he’s average. He’s a fucking monster
I wonder will our next signing be a big name.
His club number will be 888.
It’s a new thing ( the club numbers on the jerseys) I’m sure the marketing department will want to exploit it. Treble 8 etc.
Or maybe I’m talking through me hole![]()
On paper, our bench yesterday was terrible.
Bringing players on at 3 up is fine. But if we were 0-0 or 1 down, looking behind you and seeing a crocked Richarlison, Davies, Forster, Spence, Sarr and a couple of kids....there's no game changers there.
Will a he give Moore any minutes in the PL though? We need a better RW than Johnson that's for sure. But Werner and Moore are probably better.
He should be in his thinking as he is already better than Werner and Johnson. Plus we don’t need Davies on the bench just a complete waste of a place on the bench. Rather we have Moore.Moore isn't even making the bench which shows you where he is in Ange's immediate thinking.
Our bench is way better than it was last season. I don’t know how you can say that a bench of Sarr, Bergvall and Gray isn’t better than seeing Hojbjerg, Skipp and Lo Celso on there. With Richi and Werner on the bench rather than in the starting XI it’s clear we are stronger.
