You said we only ever buy players unwanted by other teams., which is clearly not the case. 🤷🏻

The size of the transfer fee doesn’t always equate to the quality of the player.

N’Dombele and Lo Celso for instance.

For the record, Ginola was 30 when we signed him for £2.5m and he was unwanted by Dalglish at Newcastle and had put a transfer request in.

No shit, but usually it does and usually money is why Tottenham miss out on the very best players because they won't pay the fees or wages that serious football clubs want to pay.

Bruno Fernandes should have already been wrapped up, but no...too expensive for poor frugal little Spurs...then we spend big money (for Tottenham) on two fucking lemons.

Also we never add without subtracting. So many times we have been close to having really top quality combinations that would really work together but then someone gets sold.

Bring in Ginola and Ferdinand, sell Sheringham.
Bring in Lineker to play with Gazza, sell Waddle.
Bring in Modric, sell Berbatov and Keane.
Bring in Dembele, sell Modric and Van der Vaart.

Danilo was good again today. I watched him closely today. He’s very defensive minded and always looking to fill in if a full back goes or centre back out if position which is something we don’t have. Has a great knack of breaking the play up but the other side to his game is very good too. He’s left sided,comfortable passing forward,can carry the ball and actually got into decent forward positions. He was an all rounder today. He’s 23.
I really big Murillo at left centre back too.
