I’d just assumed Jack Grealish was a prat because he has hair like Matty Cash, and Matty Cash looks like he sells drugs to underage girls, but I’ve seen this video now and would be okay with him:

That's fucking gross (not Grealish's part).......

They roll out some token semi-blind girl for all the players to ignore (yes, YOU Haaland!) and the moment Grealish engages with her the prick in the suit is like "no... no.... talk to meeeee".

Fucking wankers the lot of them.

The GK is such a decent overlooked point. For all the talk of having good like for like back ups, if Vicario breaks his leg opening day we're looking at Fraser Forster and Brandon Austin slugging it out for 6 months of first team football.
Opening day we'd have the remainder of August to remedy thankfully, but the nightmare scenario of relying on Forster/Austin for a prolonged period (unless Austin turns out to actually be immense) is as good as writing off the season.

I appreciate it’s not Levy’s modus operandi but wouldn’t be adverse to signing an older attacker. Particularly thinking of Toney if available for £30-40m or this Guirassy if he’s available for a steal and it means we can utilise funds for elite level winger or 6. We don’t need a striker for the next 5-7 years, however great that sounds, but really one who can give us 2 decent years in the hope that one of Veliz, Parrott, Scarlett, Donley, Lankshear or even this Feeney makes the breakthrough. Or whichever teenage striking prodigy we sign in that period.

Wld love to see Eze, Olise and a couple of top Japanese guys who never give up.

Not very original, and sorry I can't be more specific on the latter pair, but you get the point. I'd be happy with that as a window, as long as we lose a few also. Gil and Sessegnon at the very least.

First touch like silk, nice passing range, can see him being useful as a DLP if we let Hoj go. Concern is his size - he's very small. Defensively he could get bullied. Especially if we keep playing this formation keeping only the 6 and CBs back for the counter, you need a Declan Rice there, an animal to snuff out everything. Not this guy who'll get bodied

I'd take Warwick fucking Davies as long as it keeps PEH from getting a squad place next season...

Thing with strikers these days is most of them aren't peaking til their mid 30s anyway, especially if they don't rely on pace (Kane, Giroud, Lewa, Benzema, etc).

My personal theory is the position has become so difficult to play in recent years it often takes til that age to properly learn it. Partly why I wouldn't give up on the likes of Parrott, Veliz & co just yet. Gyokeres was floundering in a Mickey Mouse league at their age, now look at him. Strikers need time to learn the role.

I reckon there's good value to be had in picking up a 28 year old hold-up specialist who we could easily get 7-8 years out of. Toney I'd be looking hard at. He won't bag tons of goals but you'll struggle to find a better striker for bringing others into the game.

Guirassy too. I wouldn't be put off by his late peaking, as I said some strikers just take longer to learn the role. And he's not just a bagsman, his hold up stats are good.

Gimenez I'd be more cautious about. Strong Vincent Janssen vibes.

For me, for different reason we need to move on Davies, Tangaga, Spence, Sessegnon, Skipp, Hojbjerg amd Gil if possible, while being open to selling Emerson, Bissouma, Lo Celso and Kulusevski for the right price. Most of these are fine as back-up/squad players, but feel like the team needs a bit of a overhaul. The more we can get it the more we can bring in hopefully, though it won't be easy as it never is.

The backline is absolutely fine. It needs better protection from those ahead of it. The midfield will be better once Maddison and Bentancur come back into form, but we could still do with one or ideally two signings in that area. For me, it's the forward line that needs most work. Son is still fine, but not what he was. It's unfair on him at this stage of his career to expect him to bail us out time and again. Kulsevski just doesn't do enough often enough. Johnson is a work in progress. Richarlison I just can't see ever being the main man as much as I would love him to be. Werner I would probably keep as he's so cheap, it's a shame he got injured when he did.

He did pull that trick a few times like when we brought in Llorente. Who didn't score a boatload. but he was a good calming pressence to bring on from the bench and a physical monster that could deal with opposing CBs. And the goals he did score tended to be decisive.

And I think that we underestimated just how much Fernando brought in the locker room as well as a seasoned pro used to competing at the top level.

Trying to think of one but struggling. On a side note, Kane is going to win the European Golden Boot.

16 players is ridiculous but it's also about right i guess

Forster
Austin
Emerson
Reggie
Tanganga
Rodon
Spence
Davies
Sessegnon
Hojberjg
Ndombele
Gil
Skipp
Richie
Solomon
Locelso
Anyone thinking we'll get permanent sales for all of these in one window is delusional. It'll be mainly loans as per usual, at least 10 of those 16 will be on the club's books come September.

Rewind to a year ago when O Keefe was talking about a huge clear out with players' contracts getting ripped up. Same shit different year.
