Having sat through far too many Tucheliban games this season I can confirm those Bayern forwards were allergic to passing to Kane for at least the first 6 months.
 
To cretin and Richard hope your right about Johnson let’s see what he can do next season. However as already discussed the G/A stat can be misleading. It disguises the real quality of a player. Can a player do it when it really matter, can they pull some magic out of the bag, etc. I’ve just seen 3 goals by players who play similar position to Johnson and thinking can we get any output like that from him. Foden lets the ball run and pings it top left corner, kudos does a great flick then over head finish and ollise on the right half way line goes down the wing and pings it into top left corner. We need players who can do that to be competing. Some assists are not real assists. Like the pass to Porro v Burnley. Porto had to do a lot before finishing with a screamer.
If saying we need better quality forwards is moaning and being negative then so be it but if we keep buying players like Johnson , kulu, Werner (loan), etc then we end up where have been for years. These players are not gonna push us closer to the top clubs.

Eze from the PL over MGW. His good but not sane level.

Ok, the Forest 2 will probably set us back around £75m and the Palace 2 £130m but sometimes you do get what you pay for. Eze and Olise would transform us, the Forest 2 would be more squad filler. Its a false economy.

This! But you’ll have some on here say they are world beaters. Again we will be buy players who basically play counter attack same as Johnson.
 
Anyone think that either eze or ollise doesn’t improve us needs their heads examine. They both pull the trigger from outside the box, can beat players for fun and have great touch.

Christ what a passing range. Vision too. Kid looks like he has everything, touch, control, dribble, pass weight, intelligence, strong in the tackle, good engine, decent shot.

What I like about him is he seems like he could play in any of the midfield roles, including as a deep lying playmaker which we could really do with if we're letting Hojbjerg go. Can definitely see this kid dictating games from deep, some of those passes are Scholes-esque. Fuck. Never fall in love with a rumour.
