Brentford also offered something similar. You don’t offer that unless the kid is insanely gifted.

£75,000 a week is also mad.
It's been these amounts for a few years now, its nothing new. It's how clubs are getting past PSR.
Well for that amount he had better be. He couldn't get Leeds over the line against a very average Southampton.Brentford also offered something similar. You don’t offer that unless the kid is insanely gifted.
remember all the talk with this guy!

Sounds similar to Eze from your description?Haven't seen much of Doue before this morning tbh, different style but reminds me a bit of Bernardo Silva. Really works hard out of possession and gets stuck in, great balance and body strength, doesn't burn people for pace but beats players with turns/feints/close control (more conventional winger pace than BS). Kind of an 8/10/LW hybrid. Obv a long way from Bernardo Silva, just a nod to the profile of player he could be.
According to Transfermarkt this puts him in the top 10 most expensive teenagers in history, he cost the same as Vinicius Jr.It's been these amounts for a few years now, its nothing new. It's how clubs are getting past PSR.
Yeah, smaller, looks to have more defensive ability and seems to work a good bit harder oop. Maybe has more scope to be a permanent LW than Eze. Haven't seen enough of him though. Kinda cool on signing Eze, though he'd be a fun signing.
I agree. I posted something similar a few dozen pages back.I've been thinking about this for a bit but we might bring in Roony Bardghji. Right-sided winger, very technically sound, only 18, Swedish (instant kinship with Bergvall and Kulu), part of CAA Base and his contract expires in December of next season.
Re Doue - I asked my French pals (mostly PSG, Lyon or Monaco fans) to speak to their own entourage, see if there was any Stade Rennais afficionados in there.
A few have come back to me. Overall consensus is:
- kid is bloody exciting to watch...he picks up the ball, you feel something's gonna happen that lifts you off your seat- he's got mad tekkers, speed, can play all kinds of passes, knows where the goal is...can play LW, RW, AM or even as an 8- plenty upside and if he keeps developing the way he's been since making the 1st team, he could end up as Rennes' best ever export...and almost as big a star as Mbappe for the NT (unless he opts to play for Ivory Coast)
But they also said that:
- it'd be mad for any top club to spend any more than 25 mil on a kid who to date hasn't even started 30 league games and who's averaged about 50 ish min pg...knowing he's got next to no squat European experience- he's not that great a crosser and doesn't get that many touches, gives the ball away a lot...but I guess all dribbling machines do- he looks far from being physical enough for the PL
So my view is, if we can't get a Nico Williams or someone else who's already elite and PL-ready, yeah by all means give that kid a shot cause the balance is positive. But no way we should pay a penny over 30 mil incl bonuses.
Get ready in case we sign Doue because he will probably be joining that list as he's still 19.According to Transfermarkt this puts him in the top 10 most expensive teenagers in history, he cost the same as Vinicius Jr.
yep and williams as well.I’ve been wondering in the last few days whether Eze was a smokescreen for Doue?
