You said he was better than Johnson before a ball was kicked despite him not scoring any goals in the Prem

It was obvious to everyone that he had higher potential or higher ceiling which was never in doubt but not all players were guaranteed to fulfill their potential mate which is why it isn't such a ridiculous thing to say

Hindsight merchant.
What are you talking about Muppet Boy?

I said he was better in August 2023 when they signed him so how is it hindsight?

He had kicked enough balls for City by then to make that call despite a lack of "goal contributions". You just don't know your arse from your elbow, obviously.

I don't care about names.

We need a midfielder who shields the defense and blocks the majority of ground passes. It's not anyone we currently have, so make some room and identify the player we need.
We need to replace Richy up top with a reliable, physical striker.
We need to bring in Sons replacement ASAP. That doesn't mean sell Son yet.

Basic, minimum requirement IMO.
Any less than that and we've let ourselves down.

Seeing as you're having problems understanding very basic English I'll make it easier for you.

You said he was better based on potential and ceiling, newsflash - Ndombele was better than 95% of Premier League midfielders before we signed him based on potential and ceiling, what does that tell you?

If that's confusing you I'll use another City graduate to make it easier for you to digest, Sancho - he was one of the best up and coming young players in the world when he left City, what happened to him?

Following the examples above do all players go onto fulfill their potential? No. Is it a guarantee that every player hits their ceiling in their career? No. Did you 100% know Palmer would be this good this early in his career? No you didn't. If you did then you should be managing fucking Man City instead of sitting in your arse in your underpants making up stories on the internet.

Now based on the above do you understand what I'm saying? I didn't even say you were wrong, you said he's better than Johnson based on potential - I questioned your opinion when you said he's better than Johnson, I asked you based on what?

Hindsight merchant.

70m would be a hard pass for me.

Could probably do it for less but I doubt that much less? He's their best player, as far as I know he has no contract issues, he's home-grown, he's going to hit 20 league goals this season probably and he's still got his peak years left.

Bournemouth have no real incentive to sell for cheap. Losing a 20 goal a season striker who also brings others in to play with his physicality and effort is a big deal. Premier League clubs don't need to sell ultimately.

On one hand you grumble at the club for lacking ambition and then on the other you want to sign a player who hasn't played any consistent football for 3 years and most probably wouldn't get back to anywhere near his peak but ok

Obviously Dele isn’t a signing about ambition and you don’t build your squad around him being needed.

Probably he’s better off at Luton really but I think this might be one of the few clubs where he could get his head on track

sentimentality aside he needs to go somewhere he will play every week. He was phenomenal for us in his first 3 seasons but that was an awfully long time ago now, he's been rusting on the bench at Everton for the best part of 2 years, coming back here and flopping will kill what remaining prospect there is of him reviving his career.

There couldn’t have been a worse club for him to go to than Everton with the basket case that it is. He needs to go somewhere sensible. Palace, Bournemouth, that kind of club.

Uh what? Mount was In terrible form for Chelsea last season, he was coming off the back of a bad season and Mount isn't even THAT highly rated.

The fact that Toney is 28 means he's in his prime so you're getting guarantee now not in the future, strikers/forwards also generally go for a premium as well.

Anyway pointless arguing now, we will see.
Tbf, he was starting for England not long ago.
