Absolutely.

The last thing you need to do is add pressure onto a signing and as a result the whole project.

Especially not for a player that will ask for high wages and isn't amazing. They need to sign players that have a chance of being unifying. Werner has already been here and been divisive amongst Spurs fans.

Even a CHO that will get mixed reactions to start, at least he hasn't already played for us and looked average

i'd rather trust the pros than crumble to fan pressure over individual players.... Just sounds like an amateur shit-show in the making.

Any fan that thinks they have done more homework on a player than the guys that have accountability for the chequebook are lying to themselves.

Hudson Odoi is excellent and would be a really smart signing. Sell Gil and Solomon, don't take up the Werner option and bring in a starting LW on top of it and we've done great business there.

Just a 6, back up RB and a RW now.

Agree except I’d bet they would be looking at a starting RWF and #9 then CHO to rotate with Son.

If CHO isn’t good enough to replace Son you have an another season to find his successor and have CHO embedded for depth.

The same could work with Summerville who I’d definitely rate above CHO and imo has more chance to develop into Sons long term replacement

They need to have a chance of being. Son being around still gives you at a season to suss them out and see if they are

Pretty much what I was saying...... But the club need to be playing surer odds than "a chance".

It ought to be someone young that already has a bit of wow-factor who we then cultivate as the main man over the next 12 months.

Do you really think CHO is that guy? If not; then he'd be a waste of money and not significantly more useful than Werner or Solomon.

More reliable than most, doesnt mean they're across every deal that happens.
I’ll throw out 50 names and say we are monitoring the situation, ready to make a bid, interested in signing for Tottenham and all the usual shit and I’ll get one right. Then I’ll back track and say we need to move players on first, club wants loan then option to buy but selling club won’t entertain that and Tottenham won’t meet £65 million release clause because levy has bid £19.50 plus Sessegnon. . It’s all made up mate.

Let’s just debate who we’d like and won’t like and let it take its course because it’s all just guess work from everyone.

The players we want will have been identified months ago.

Sure but the fans already know what Werner is going to be,

You trust the professionals if they see Werner as Son long term?

I’d put Summerville ahead of CHO but I think people underrate how talented CHO is

So no journo has any detail on any deal ever? I remember that that one that broke the Bissouma signing out of the blue or O Keefe with Vicario and many other examples too numerous to mention. Its the transfer thread you're going to get rumours. People can believe what they like. Either way more interesting than everyone just reeling off their fantasy signings.

Mitchell had nothing to do with the vast majority of that squad... And Toby was a complete tap in.

In fact most of the key members of Poch's squad (Lloris, Vorm, Rose, Walker, Vertonghen, Dembele, Kane , Mason and Bentaleb - first choice CM's in Poch's first season) were here before he coached his first game for Spurs with Alderviereld, Son and Dele having been scouted and discussions held before Poch joined although they arrived the summer after he joined.

How about another cheeky loan bid for Danjuma?

Could cover the winger and main striker remit

I reckon Danjuma would cook in Ange's system

That could then allow us to focus on finding a top quality defensive midfielder , Maybe James Milner? Reckon he'd be cheap and would also cook in Ange's system

That could then in turn allow us to focus on bringing in a top class attacking midfielder, perhaps Ross Barkley

We'd well and truly be cooking

Not saying that but 99.9% of the time they don’t. Do you think clubs trust these guys?
I don’t find any of the stuff these guys put out interesting until it becomes a real thing and as I said they’ll get about 1 in 50 right but so could you and I.
