Look at the level of player Woolwich were buying in Artetas first few windows- it wasn't until the Rice deal that they pushed the boat out, outside of that they have been shopping in the same market that we have
And do you really believe that, levy will push the boat out at any point.
He has had opportunities over the years to do this, with other managers and, always remains adverse to doing so.
I would not hold my breath waiting for anything like that.

So the strongest links are Eze 60-70m Gallagher 40-50m Toney 40-50m. This would be real bad business and wouldn't improve us.

Would Eze start before Sonny or Madders? Not for me.
Would Gallagher start before Madders? Not for me.
Is Toney an upgrade on Richy? Probably but he's a no for me.

If the manager thinks they're improvements so be it.

Personally I think Eze is better than Maddison and much more suited to playing LW for us than Son is. But more importantly he can do both.

Gallagher walks into our midfield too. Exact right profile for what we need, price is a bit much though considering one year left on his contract.

Not big on Toney either though tbh. If we're not going to go big for a striker, then we need to be smart and try and get someone who can play up top as well as our wide.

If Eze started before Madders, how could Gallagher also start before Madders, as Madders would have already have lost his place to Eze. Would have been quicker for you to have asked whether Gallagher would start ahead,of Eze . 😂😂😂

Have people lost their minds about Gyokeres?

He’s 26 and had one good season in his whole career in a second tier league. in the season he turned 23, he managed 4 goals in loan spells at Swansea and Coventry. He had never had the season 22 year old Parrot just had in Holland.

I get that players develop at different rates but 70m for a player with one good season at 26? Incredible.

Delighted to see so many people watch Coventry and Sporting games. Or is he just the latest shiny object?

I do think the hype is way overboard, but he is a good player. Strong, great at pressing and a really good finisher.

But there would have been absolute uproar if we signed a 25 year old Gyokeres last season from Coventry to replace Kane 😂

Price is silly

Eze isn't playing LW for Palace though he's at LF or inside left if you prefer , we play our wide players on the touchline he's playing infield in a 343 where the width is provided by wing backs allowing eze and Olise to operate as 10s.

Gallagher runs around a lot , I would take Bentancur , Sarr and Madders before him. Poor defensively and ill disciplined.

We are talking about 170m for all three at the top of the line. Bizzare.

Archie Gray 20-25m Versatile ( anywhere in the midfield or RB ) with world class potential.
Kephren Thuram 20-25m Midfield general we need. Final year of contract.
Riccardo Calafiori 20-25m Great defensively and going forward. LB/LCB priority signing.
Serou Guirassy 18M release clause. Link up , hold up and a good finisher
Tammy Abraham 27M Similar to Guirassy , a little more technical ability. Great competition
Xavi Simons 60m LW/RW/CAM/CM Like Gray he has that potential , yet may find himself surplus to requirements at PSG , he's behind Dembele , Zaire-Emery , Barcola and Kolo-Muani in the pecking order.

Possible 180m with more potential , versatility

Scored 22 in his last season in the championship

18 in the championship the season before

Has always been a talent and is reaching his peak now.

He’s a 60m player but will probably cost 70m. North of that is an overpay

Ange has played Kulusevski, Werner, Son and Johnson at left wing this season.

I think it's quite obvious there isn't a set remit to play on the wing for us in terms of style.

The number one profile for an Ange winger is someone capable of beating his man 1v1 - hence why Werner has probably been renewed (was one of the best in the league on the data and doing this) and Eze excels at it.

Gallagher runs around a lot , I would take Bentancur , Sarr and Madders before him. Poor defensively and ill disciplined.

Of course you would. But right now, he's better than at least rwo of those players and showed that last season. Quite comfortably.

Bizarre to back a manager?

Archie Gray 20-25m Versatile ( anywhere in the midfield or RB ) with world class potential.

He's been wank whenever I've watched Leeds, absolutely woeful in the Play Off final.

No better than someone like Dewsbury Hall who was quite clearly the best midfielder in the Championship last season and actually has Prem experience.

And good luck signing Gray for 20-25m.

Kephren Thuram 20-25m Midfield general we need. Final year of contract.

Another one who has been wank all season.

Riccardo Calafiori 20-25m Great defensively and going forward. LB/LCB priority signing.

Off to Juventus.

Serou Guirassy 18M release clause. Link up , hold up and a good finisher

No better than Richarlison.

Though I would sign him at that price. Because he's better than Toney.

Tammy Abraham 27M Similar to Guirassy , a little more technical ability. Great competition

Lol

Xavi Simons 60m LW/RW/CAM/CM Like Gray he has that potential , yet may find himself surplus to requirements at PSG , he's behind Dembele , Zaire-Emery , Barcola and Kolo-Muani in the pecking order.

He likely has the pick of Europe - zero chance he's coming to a team that finished 5th in the Premier League.

Possible 180m with more potential , versatility

And alot more unrealistic.

Never seen the boy play, but the attributes he brings, if what has been said in here is anything to go by, sound tailor made for AP's brand of Football.

Couldn't care less what the price is if he's the right player to help take us up a notch.

Put Eze and Gallagher in there as well and our options are insane.

Guirassy might be better than Richy tbh

He’s definitely got a better scoring record than I think Richy could ever do.

I wouldn't say no - it's not my money, I couldn't care less what we spend on a player IF it's what the manager wants and he's going to be the one to play 40-50 games for us.

But I do think we could be smarter.

Gyokeres, Eze, Gallagher plus a defender and imo nobody could complain.

Eze could even play false 9 for us imo as well so if it took selling Richy then so be it.

No mate because I’ve watched him a lot this season and a few times last season. He’s got everything we need. He’s a big strong, aggressive presser who can take the ball in and bring others into play but most importantly he’s a finisher especially from what he’s produced this season.

I do agree that £70 million is too much considering he’s only really blew up this season but if that’s what we need to pay to progress then so be it. We can afford it. For me Vlahovic is the only other one with similar attributes and he would cost a similar amount.

You think that record makes him a £60m player?

Disagree. Far too much risk in the figures being floated. 40m is reasonable. Otherwise the risk is exclusively on the buyer.

I don't think Toney is the answer. Seems to be on a bit of a downwards spiral, and although I do think he would score a few more than Richarlison, I think it's barely an upgrade.
