From watching Spurs fans who watch the under 21 games and then comment on player development… something highlighted about Lankshear is yes he can put the ball in the net but he misses an awful lot of chances
I wouldn't say he misses a lot of chances, probably been games where that's been the case but generally he's been really good in front of goal and pretty clinical, lot of 1 touch finishes.
and isn’t great in terms of build up play.
Again, probably wouldn't say his build up play isn't great, moreso that we just haven't seen that much of it based on how the team play. Lankshear's role has been more about getting in to the right positions to finish moves rather than coming deep like Kane did and linking up play since we had a lot of good creative players like Donley and Hall to create the space. His movement and reading of the game have been really good.

His only 19 ffs! Everyone keeps banging on about Johnson at 23 has potential and needs to develop his game. Well I’m sure lankshear will do the same. Tbh the criticisms above could be applied to most of first team forwards.

Albeit a different position, if you then look at Moore, the gulf in class and potential between the two is huge
Abd richi or any of our forwards bar Sonny are good at that then? Ffs we got veliz but have no idea what he can do but won’t even have a little faith in one of our academy players.

Lankshear is pretty clinical in front of goal, top scorer in PL2 and across all competitions this season - you don't get that if you miss a lot of chances

U21's play a similar game as Ange does - and strikers in Ange system focus on goal scoring, not creative stuff so he is not encouraged to drop back to pick up the ball or do build up play. So he's rarely been seen doing that - he's able to pass the ball although that's not a key strength. But he's pretty much ideal for Ange ball and a very good player in his year group, voted as PL2 player of the year..

Moore has been playing LW and so creating goals (as well as scoring) is exactly what he's supposed to do - and he's very good at it. He's one of the best, if not the best, footballer in his year group so completely unreasonable to compare him to Lankshear or virtually all other players in his year group.
