And yet everyone is happy with our back 5!

Wild
I'm not entirely happy, they all made mistakes leading to goals, even Micky who was otherwise superb and the best of the lot...despite missing many weeks through injury.

Udogie pissed me off more than once when he just gave up, stopped running and let his man go cross/shoot. Some dumb back passes too. But he'll mature & learn (hopefully).

Porro was better defensively than when first arrived, but I'm still struggling to see him as a defenceman. Against top oppo he'll always be a liability...or maybe Ange can get that savvy into him in year 2.

Gugli gotta be a wee bit cuter on them set pieces. Conceding 16 of them was a joke, though he ain't the sole culprit...refs played their part too.

You are legend on these things.

Tbh it makes even more sense to do the deal if they can. If we could end up in 2-3 years with a list of CT and HG players that looks like this:

Vuskovic
Phillips
Dorrington
Hall
Gray
Bergvall
Devine
Donley
Moore

That is some serious forward thinking.
Yeah, obviously might not all make it, some might not kick on or could pick up bad injuries but that looks like a really good group. I think the long term aim should be to make sure we don't end up in a similar position as we are now where we've pretty much just got Austin as our only CT (+Skipp, Parrott & Whiteman if they stay) with a possibility of going in to Europa with a smaller squad and being linked to the likes of Edwards and KWP returning.

Also, we know we aren’t signing Vuskovic after he goes to RBL and becomes Gvardiol or Gray after Leeds get promoted.

If we build a generation of talent with elite potential then we have a chance

Unless we shift BJ or Kulu, it ain't happening.

Also think he might struggle in the PL, at least the first few months. La Liga defenders are mostly shocking and dribblers like him are afforded way more protection by the refs that he'd get over here.

He gets hacked to bits in Spain and they don’t protect him much at all. He loves it as well, first touch after every hack is a nutmeg or an absolute Liberty 1v1.

After Werner it’s pretty clear RW is the space for a winger signing. Kulusevski plays as a utility player for a year and then they see what happens.

Saying that, the sources are the shittest of shit so far

It's kinda cute how you regularly use the transfer activity of cup winners, League champions and other regular trophy winners to somehow justify the failures of....ermm.. Daniel Levy :roflmao:
Those clubs are an easier sell because, they win stuff quite regularly.
Tottenham on the other hand, don't win anything, except maybe carbon reduction go green award for the stadium.
Even villa seems more ambitious than we are, at least the owners want to go for it, unlike the firm of accountants who run our club.

Bit nonplussed by Grey so far. Even with young footballers who get talked about a few attributes might jump out. Grey Looks like a neat and tidy footballer every time I’ve seen Leeds. He might turn out great but I wouldn’t be risking £40m finding out personally

A Leeds support I know said he’d go for £100M in May be a couple of seasons. Think we should just push the boat out and go for players like him. Fick these unknown overseas players who may not even adapt to physical demands of the PL. Mark my words we will be saying next year and year after why didn’t we buy said player or another. We need to look at home as well rather just keep looking abroad. This kubo guy is anyone else after him? £50M for him for someone who looks physically sane as Gil is a risk.
