Of course they won't. They'll just sell something else to a company owned by themselves and side step it. You know, because big clubs work around rules and small clubs hide behind them.
It is but players don't see it that way, this is one of the things though that highlight where their long contract strategy is wrong, there's literally 0 incentive to handing out these contracts on the players side and also you need to keep the same energy across the board with your other players.
In this context offering a 2/3 year deal to one of their most consistent players and a captain in just poor.

VDV was more widely reported by the end of the tour last year. We'd already seen photos of him visiting London and rumors etc. But we didn't have Lange back then so more leaked.
Still, it doesn't really feel like this story about 3 transfers ready to go and the other clubs waiting to green-light them is that believable. It feels more likely we are waiting on the price to drop later in the window.

Possibly but the difference is wafer fucking thin. BJ has more potential, where as Werner is the finished article.
Almost all transfers across the top leagues, and even some lower leagues, are heavily based off tangible data now. Not a fan saying a player passes the "eye test"
