Disgusting or exactly what we’ve come to expect over 25 years?
Both unfortunately

Disgusting or exactly what we’ve come to expect over 25 years?
There's loads but they are valued more I'm depressed that solanke for 65 will be our record buy in our history shows how shit the market is now
Solanke is a target man that’ll score goals but won’t take us to another level.Solanke is a joke signing to you yet Toney isn't?
I mean neither are joke signings but there's not much in it between them at all. It's weird you rate one so highly yet the other one is a joke.
Season starts in 10 daysCould have got Toney or Gyokeres but nah Solanke. Besides you know they have a scouting department whos job is to find top strikers like they claimed they've been doing. Now we are panic buying at the last hour.
Solanke is a target man that’ll score goals but won’t take us to another level.
No one was asking for him or mentioning his name before we were linked. Facts.

Ali Gold says he and Guest talked about him a bunch long before we were linked.Solanke is a target man that’ll score goals but won’t take us to another level.

Actually his attributes show he hasn't go any real weaknesses. Strong, Fast, Skillful, good passer, good In the air, decent finisher, good link up play.Solanke is a target man that’ll score goals but won’t take us to another level.

Yup, Kulusevski is our only consistent player at this but he lacks dynamism. Our key requirement (IMO) for any central attacking option is the ability to retain the ball under pressure. Too many times towards the end of last season we saw oppositions clustering around Son knowing that he is the most likely to be dispossessed under pressure for a fast break turnover. We either need attacking options who can deal with that scenario (Kulu is excellent in this respect) or need to coach players to give attackers a return pass option - as Modric always provided when in our midfield back in the day.
Richarlison isn't bad at this part of the game IMO - but his fitness reliability is a massive issue.

Was his fitness a reliability when he was at Everton? Our key requirement (IMO) for any central attacking option is the ability to retain the ball under pressure. Son used to be able to do it by just using his speed to run the channels, but he’s slowing down now.
It’s something that Solanke has always been excellent at and he will be a vital component to our attack even when he doesn’t score.
So who of the supposedly linked players is best in this regard? Our key requirement (IMO) for any central attacking option is the ability to retain the ball under pressure. The fact that you rate Solanke over Toney says it all
So who of the supposedly linked players is best in this regard?
Or some other realistic name?
I would rather have the PL proven Solanke upfront than for instance any of the strikers United have.Hopefully Solanke is an upgrade on Richy (in availability if nothing else).
But there is something that feels a bit small time about it. You just can't imagine any of the other top 6 having Solanke lead their line.
Basically, we need someone who can do this for a couple of years until Mikey Moore is ready to handle a full schedule.Bingo!
We need one winger who:
- is very quick and good at dribbling so can beat players
- can retain the ball under pressure
- is smart at linking with others
Woolwich have Saka, City have Grealish and Doku, Liverpool have Luis Diaz. We have no-one.
Eden Hazard is the best version of this player, it’s not about goals individually it’s about territory and possession that leads to more goals and less conceded.
