There is - VDV with Drag covering himGray and Spence will rotate with Porro. Both perfect for the role.
Spence is an out of position RB as the first cover for Udogie who will absolutely pick up knocks.
If Spence has to cover RB there is nobody to cover Udogie at LB.
He's never played a prolific number of games, over the previous seasons to joining us, 24, 26 and 35.
Neto, the player everyone was wanking over in here three days ago has averaged 15 games a season in the same period.
I think Solomon is a very good addition to the squad, and an injury shouldn't determine a players ability when fully fit, I mean just ask Richy.
Yet still got behind them to fire in great crosses to absolutely nobody. I’m certainly not saying this was a successful strategy, but it could be with a decent number nine attacking the six yard box. And with Johnson starting his second season and hopefully improving on his first. Even Werner has it in him to get into double figure assists with a striker to aim for.We also played against numerous low block teams that don’t allow that space in behind on a regular basis. It was so evident to see….
Clearly, VdV can cover LB by using Radusin at CH — otherwise they’ll play Donley (if not loaned) or Davies. Ange clearly likes versatility in his players. If Spence has to cover RB there is nobody to cover Udogie at LB.
A kid who’s never kicked a ball in the PL and Spence a full back who’s failed miserably at this club for 2 years. You think they are perfect for any role?Gray and Spence will rotate with Porro. Both perfect for the role.

I never mentioned the other 2. You responded to my post where I said Johnson was 1st choice, and it's silly to think he won't be when he scored or assisted 20% of our goals last season (our 2nd most prolific season in 40 years).
A goal isn't a fucking stat. It's how the game is won and lost.
That’s all well and good and I’m not meaning to come across “anti Johnson”. I’m not in any way, I’m hopeful he can develop to be the player we want.Yet still got behind them to fire in great crosses to absolutely nobody. Compared to Gray, Bergvall and new SK, Solanke is our Marquee signing. Better get used to that.Because Diminik Solanke is not a marquee signing. Even Alvarez for £80m City to Athleico isn't.
I am not questioning that. I preferred Toney or even Alvarez or even a player with a better pedigree in terms of trophies but club signed Solanke, he's a Spurs player now and am totally behind the new signing, Hope he does well scores 20 plus in the PL and 10 plus in the cups. Realistic expectations for a Spurs fan and achievable target for a £60m striker.
The future will tell if right signing BUT defo ain't a marquee signing. The likes of Haaland, Mbape, Messi, Ronaldo, Bale are/were. The gap is huge so let's not compare.
I don't remember Solanke being mentioned in this thread until few days ago, Toney was.
Hes been a good servant and managers love him as hes low maitenance and professional. Saka done him easily for their 3rd goal though last season though. He can plug a gap. That maybe so, but you have to admit his best days have long gone.
Love the guy, and hope he gets a coaching role at the club, but we need to look to the future now.
Davies is terrible. I'm sure he's a top guy and never causes a fuss, but as a footballer, he's nowhere near top 4/6 level and hasn't been for years and years.Hes been a good servant and managers love him as hes low maitenance and professional. the fact he cant actually play proper football youd at least expect him to make up for that by putting his body on the line....nope! you get nothing. How he was a big success is beyond me! Missed some absolute sitters, bottles challenges, has no real football skill, never seen him
Make any sort of progressive pass and has only type of cross which low and hard otherwise it could be anywhere. Based on the stats his numbers are what you would expect for someone who cost almost £50M.
Gray or Spence for right back. We are well covered at full back.We have Udogie and Spence but Spence is first rotation for RB as well.
We need 4 FBs that can play the inverted role if we want to compete for trophies.

We’ve now got the fifth top scorer from last season to add to the eighth top. I think we’ll be fine. Hopefully you are wrong and I’m not. That’s all well and good and I’m not meaning to come across “anti Johnson”. I’m not in any way, I’m hopeful he can develop to be the player we want.
But Son, Solanke and Johnson isn’t a good enough trio to compete at the top end of the table. It just isn’t….
We have to see an improvement in that wide area and it has to be someone that can beat a man going each way.
We’ll see similarly frustrating performances if we don’t address that. This shouldn’t be controversial.
If Lo Celso is gone, maybe... nah surely not? but just maybe... ah fuck it I'll just say it, maybe Eze is happening.
