Neither Barca or Madrid can find the money to sign someone who "might be one of the top 3 attacking players in the world"?

Really?

Suspicious Futurama GIF
Barca can't no, can't even register olmo.

Real are probably one of the only clubs that Williams doesn't massively improve their wing options as they are making space for arguably the 2 top and another in the top 10.

Concerns me how many people genuinely thought the club would be after a right winger.

The club has literally spent something like £90m on RW in the last 18 months on an 24 year old and a 23 year old and people think that they’re gonna go again this summer?

I said at the time Werner WAS the versatile winger. Just because people don’t like it, doesn’t mean it’s any less true.

When has Madrid ever not signed one of the top players in the world because they "don't massively improve their options"?

Have we watched the same sport for the last 25 years?

Atletico also not interested in one of the top 3 attackers in the world available for merely £45M?

They signed Mbappe this year. They have Vinicius: that’s probably the other 2 in the top 3 and they are above him.
It's odd it's like saying we have prime Benzima, and prime Lewandoski, let's add prime Kane. Not even Madrid are that silly. Williams wants Barca or stays where he is it's very widely known. But he'd cost twice the amount Barca can spend on Olmo... they struggled to register the coach! And Madrid don't need that position when they have an identical level player. Not sure why that's contentious. Wish it was Spurs problem.

Are you counting Kulu as a RW?

I hope we don't see him there this season.

I’m not counting him as anything. I wasn’t involved in the deal. 😂

BUT, he was signed as a right winger and I expect Levy would be pretty annoyed after spending big money on two of them to have someone knocking on the door and saying ‘we don’t have any right wingers’

I’m not saying we don’t need someone - but I’m perplexed after all this time how people think this club is gonna all of a sudden operate.

I mean if your argument is “Nico Williams is not that good” I’m sorry that’s stupid. We can quibble about the top 3 attacker thing but he’s clearly a gem of a winger prospect and was the danger man in Spain’s dominant Euro run.

The reason his release clause hasn’t been triggered is because this isn’t FIFA and the player has to agree to leave the club. He plays at Bilbao where only Basque players are allowed to play and clearly will only leave his hometown club to go to specific places of his choosing. It’s a lot like Jesus Navas in the early 2010s.

Pal, we were miles off the best teams last season and so far we've brought in two teens, a RB Leipzig reject and Solanke.

Unless we sign the new Paolo Maldini and a regen of Luis Figo, we already know the score.

With Mbappe and Vinicius, doesn't that mean that that Rodrygo looses his place in the starting eleven? What would he cost?

Can somebody please explain what is the actual difference between a 6 & an 8 and why a player can only play as one or the other?

Serious question.
6- Carrick, Busquets, Pirlo, Xavi, Scholes(later years).

8- Seedorf, Lampard, iniesta, Yaya toure, Gerrard, modric, Kroos, De bruyne.

A great 6 is a deep lying playmaker who is defensively sound.

A great An 8 is more busy(usually box to box), gets about the pitch and likes to attack the opposition box.

some players are just good at both especially as they mature like Modric, Kroos and Gerrard among others. usually more often than not a great 8 can become a good 6 rather than vise versa.

Some cases you might have a playmaking 6 but needs protection of an 8, a good, bad example of this is Winks and Sissoko.

Obviously this is a very simple breakdown. Other posters will likely put it better than I have.

Edit: it's somewhat conflicting though as someone like Makelele I wouldn't say is a 6 but is an excellent defensive midfielder.

Or Kante who is an excellent all action midfielder but not really an 8

Some daft cunt on Spurs Community has posted the following. To be fair, this hasn’t come from one of the so called ITKs, just a random, so there might actually be a morsel of truth in it:

Good afternoon, I am not ITK of any sort however, I had some information given to me yesterday by someone within the Brighton camp that we are getting Simon Adingra. I’m just passing this on as I know nothing about him

Probably true then.

Then have been buying up attacking players this window. He’s quality too.

FW - Richarlison, Solanke, (Son)
LW - Son, Werner, Solomon
RW - Kulu, Johnson, Moore
CM - Maddison, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr, Skipp, Gray, Bergvall, Lo Celso
LB - Udogie, Davies, (Spence)
RB - Porro, Spence, (Gray)
CB - Romero, VdV, Dragusin, Phillips
GK - Vicario, Forster, Austin

How on either does anyone justify bringing in more new players without clear outgoings?
Possible changes…David for Richarlison.
Locatelli for Lo Celso
Gallagher for Skipp
