I think he’s serious about a trying to win the Prem. You can’t shake him for self belief…even if it sounds far fetched
It's his intent and goal.

Reminds me of our greatest ever manager's quote;

It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.

It's obvious that more than a few don't believe that, but we shouldn't ridicule our manager for having that mindset.

I really got to remember to put emojis to demonstrate when I’m not being serious
I've been saying for years we simply need a font that denotes sarcasm. I told one of our American contributors he was a wife beater( a slight on one of the Levy bots claimed was the case if you want us to buy players) and he went postal and had me carded, I mean he must know we live on diffrent continents and I don't know his marital status. But hey ho strange days indeed.

Do you think we've realised our potential in a quarter of a century with our owners?

1 carling cup over 16 years ago for one of the wealthiest clubs on the planet and one of the best supported clubs in England wouldn't suggest so.

Fair to a degree.

I think it's more complex and bigger than your relatively small contribution (no metaphor intended) suggests but it's a difficult statistic to grapple with, no doubt at all.

Where I think your argument or point falls flat is that we have been to finals and semi-finals and been undone, despite having England's best striker since Rooney in our rank. No excuses or explanation for no shows in that regard.

It's all very odd.

Unfortunately, this makes perfect sense and explains exactly why we haven’t been able to get the winger we need.

What does Scott Munn fucking do if Levy is negotiating transfers? And what happened to Levy stepping away from the football side of things?

Did anyone ever believe that?
I'm not so sure we just spent 40m on Gray an 18 year old and 65m on Solanke...I think both will be good players but they both cost a fair bit obviously both being HG has added Tax.

I think a CF was a must and Gray was possibly one they really didn't want to miss out on.

No, we’ve underachieved but here’s the thing that you haven’t considered.

If you’re one of the top TWO revenue generating teams in a league then you should, to achieve parity, make just about every final and you’ve got a 50/50 chance when you meet your final opposition.
(Still hard in a league like France and Germany where the top team is miles richer than the second).

If you’re 5th or 6th, having achieved that by growing a club that was mid table, then you’ve still got 4 or 5 teams ahead of you — 2 by absolute miles. That gives you a 40/60 chance of making a semi-final. Big difference.

That’s why I look at everything in terms of context.

The 2010s were the best decade for Tottenham in terms of league-wise position in their history including our time in the Southern League. I’m pissed that that didn’t translate into winning anything.

Again, if you think United are better run (as opposed to simply richer) than us then we’re not going to agree on anything.

Apologies to everyone for being drawn off-topic. I know this is not transfer related.

Prick answer to be honest.
He main position is clearly CB but didn’t he play LB when udogie was injured last season for the last 2 games and our performances significantly improved

And Kulu filled in as our striker when we were ravaged by injuries, but it doesn't mean that it is an optimal situation nor were we significantly improved solely because VDV filled in that role.

Who are the 2 by absolute miles?
