As predictable as ever. Maybe, just maybe, Ange is actually OK with the squad? Rather than a spineless yes man.

Squad building isn't necessarily about having two for each position but rather having flexible players who can fill the gaps when needed. If we can't find someone to replace Davies who is happy to fulfil that role, ange appears to be happy to keep him and use youth rather than buying another stop gap who wants minutes.

I just don’t think we’ve improved the starting XI one bit. Solanke could as easily flop as be a success. Ange wanted Gallagher, Eze, Neto. All three walk into our team and he didn’t get a single one. When he says the quotes today about be happy with the window his body language shows the opposite. Shaking his head etc.
