Just being honest on my thought process.I don't, I think I made that quite clear.
You engaged me mate, not the other way round. If my posts bother you that much then why bother in the first place?
Once again you've resorted to the passive aggressive stance after what I thought was a quite reasonable discussion.
That is what is truly weird here.
I know, in fact, you are always moaning around don't matter what's happening, if we buy Mbappe you would found a reason to complain and blame the club for not having ambition. The fact is, the window was good and we strenghetened the team. Richarlison was a failure and we bough a 65 million player as his substitute, the 4th with most goals in the EPL last season, what did you expect? Despite I don't think Solanke is world class, I think it's less risky than buy someone like Gyokeres. Also, a lot of people with far more knowledge than us found him as the player that would fit better our system, so I'm not judgind the guy after one game.
Well, I will agree that we shifted a lot of deadweight. Finally.I know, in fact, you are always moaning around don't matter what's happening, if we buy Mbappe you would found a reason to complain and blame the club for not having ambition. Second, we don't know the kind of players Ange wants for the system, but by the looks of it we bought Odobert to be a starter and he performed very well, again, in his one and only game with us. So we bought 2 first team players, it seems, and they played two fucking games, so what about wait some time and support the lads?
Three, we strenghted the team from last season and added some of the most promising young players in the world to our ranks in Grey and Bergvall, we also have Moore and Devine that are very exciting prospects and, speaking for me, I'm very happy with the squad we have as they will have opportunities to develop here.
Four, we got rid of the deadweight, bar Reguilon, and that's great as we were struggling in the revious windows with players we didn't want anymore. Also we found good loand for Veliz and Gil.
Five, we have a lot of quality players and that's probably the best squad since Pochettino's days. We don't have to start buying players just for the sake of it like Chelsea. We bought good players with potential to become world class and two starters in Odobert and Solanke. If Ange doesn't deliver top 4 this season it's just on him. We have a top goalkeeper, the best back 4 in the League imo. A very capable midfield with Biss, Sarr, Bentancur. One of the best creative midfielders in the past years in Maddison, Son and the 4th best goalscorer from last season. The only position I think we could have improved is RW, but Johnson seems an Ange's favourite.
It was a very good window, we kept our best players, got rid of the deadwood and got some of the more exciting youngsters in Europe here.
Just being honest on my thought process.
I'm reading your replies and thinking... "wtf??"... "what is this???"... "what's going on???
And it's not just you...increasingly finding myself doing this a lot with others.
And not just this fanbase.
Some other clubs have it chronic and fans will just ride with whatever turn the club decides to make for good or ill.
I simply cannot relate to it.
That's all.
Seems to be a definite phenomenon of acceptance of whatever a club does.
More than I've ever seen before.
You just back it and if you don't you're not doing the supporting right.
So, I just see you as a node of behaviour I find inscrutable, really.
Not having a personal dig.
The initial post of yours I replied to seemed to encapsulate this.
Why it stood out to me.
Who are you?For anyone with an ounce of critical thinking ability, there’s plenty of middle ground to be had between blindly cheerleading everything the club does and blindly heaping enormous amounts of skepticism on everything the club does. You seem to be indicating here that anyone who isn’t doing the latter is automatically doing the former, which just makes you come off as a myopic bore.
Need 9 pages to get to 2000.
Exactly.Need 9 pages to get to 2000.
Another day of repeating ourselves should see us over the line.
What a mess he's got himself into now. Not claiming I know what's went on the behind the scene but it looks like Osimhen and his agent burned all the bridges with Napoli being too sure of themselves that some club would meet their outrageous demands... Not even Chelski were willing to take a chance of him

I don't remember this story, if I ever heard it.why is everyone forgetting his own club mocked him for missing a penalty and then decided to make a racist video which involved him being compared to a coconut?
More of a 10 out , not enough experienced quality in window for me.
Okay.Need 9 pages to get to 2000.
Another day of repeating ourselves should see us over the line.
It was the official napoli twitter account...not a fan site..official club.I don't remember this story, if I ever heard it.
This was the actual club you say, not the fans?
Also, I'm guessing that this wasn't the old trope of someone not being a "proper black person", i.e. "brown on the outside, white on the inside", an Uncle Tom type in other words?
We're not 'pretending' anything, it's just incredibly naive to take what he has said entirely at face value without thinking about how and when we could get there, plus of course what else he could possibly have said instead, and to take it to mean that we will be challenging for the title 12 months later. Even in the bit you've quoted he talks about foundations, and that hopefully in 12 months' time people will be talking about us differently - that's a very long way from saying we will be in the title race. As I said in my initial post to you, we have removed pretty much all of the deadwood except Reggie, and that in itself is an incredible achievement that, having been seemingly unachieveable for a couple of years, has suddenly all happened within 8 months! Then when you look at the kind of players we've signed recently, I'd imagine people are talking about us differently now, people are recognising that having got rid of the deadwood and signed lots of promising youngsters, we are at the start of a new era.Are we really going to pretend Ange hasn't spoken about challenging at the highest level?
“As somebody said to me last week, ‘Just do your job, Ange’. And my job is to try to bring success, and if you don’t think you’re going to be in the title race in 12 months’ time, then I don’t know why I’m here.
"We want to keep building on the foundation of being a team that hopefully in 12 months' time people are talking about us differently."

'That's why I came to the club' - Postecoglou expects Tottenham title push next season
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou said he expects his side to challenge for the Premier League title next season, adding he will never target fourth place.www.tntsports.co.uk
He's made several such statements since being here.
And if that's the destination, what we have done this summer - after the way the latter half of last season went - is not sufficient to fix the issues we had and cater for it.
Not with the way he wants to play.
It was the official napoli twitter account...not a fan site..official club.
The story was big at the time but now everyone seems to have forgotten.
Okay.
Once we get to 2000 pages, someone tell Admin to delete/archive it.
TBH, 95% of it was absolutely forgettable anyway.![]()
