I doubt Frank and the players thought it was a pointless game. All learnt and gained a lot from it imo.
 
For me the PSG game instilled confidence from the players in our new manager. His tactics worked for 80 minutes and proved he has something about him, something worth listening to when he speaks.

That's what I got from the PSG game!

If we continue to play like that, they will only get better certainly has given me hope for the future.
Who knows, maybe season 3 will be better after all.

...remember the days when we were pulling our hair out at all the 80th + minute subs Ange used to make??

For me, 65-75 minutes is the optimum time to make subs, unless enforced...

25 minutes to make a difference (or to consolidate and keep up the good work) should be ample!

Let's be serious here, it's basically the European equivalent of the Charity Shield. Would have been lovely for the bragging rights, but not much more than that.

Imo was a learning curve for Frank. But tbh enrique said they only been in training for 6 days. Just hope we have a good season. Want another trophy as well to breed momentum.
 
I think if it was a serious cup final Frank would have kept kudus and Palinha on , he had to take Richi off cos he was gone , just a shame Solanke couldn’t impose himself . As for tel , gray and bergval they were just spectators for 20 mins .
