Management Supporters Trust Demands Meeting with Board

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Didn’t you work in finance? Would you have approved a business case with a 20 year payback? Doubt it
So explain your 20 year payback ....

Old WHL income around 300m per year - New WHL income around 500m per year .... show me how you get a "20 year payback" from that ... you may be correct it will be interesting to see how you came up with your estimate.

FYI - for a building with a 50 year lifespan a twenty year payback would be a very solid investment ... most house mortgages are 25 years, that doesn't stop anyone building and financing them.

For Wembley? a football only stadium that went 120% over budget .... you make a good point, sadly for you not one that's supporting your argument that football only stadiums are cheap.

NWHL went massively over budget but that wasn't due to the NFL changing rooms, honest.
But we don’t have a football stadium per say, we have a NFL stadium or was the head of business development Aidan Mullally lying?

“It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US.”

Premier League business lead, Aidan Mullally”

Yup we play 20+ football matches watched by over a million football fans and just 2 NFL games ... in your mind that makes it an NFL stadium?

Do you think about what you're saying before you write it? or do you honestly think it's primarily an NFL stadium?

Aidan said “It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind"

If you build a house with a decent garage in mind does that make it a car park? or does having a nice kitchen in mind make it a restaurant? .... what do you think?

Can anyone tell me what the supporters trust actually does? Like do they just get together and bitch at the board? Do they really think they have influence?
They do fuck all.
They should be crucifying cunts Lewis/Levy for profit over glory but have no bollocks to take any action.
You know they have no influence as they are too passive and lack any balls .
Glad to help.

Bloody hell , it’s not in my mind , it’s how it is . I know you can read so read what has been officially said by the people who made the decisions , not a person on a football forum.

I’ll leave you to your battle as you seem incapable of admitting fact from your perception , all in the name of trying to prove a point against that what the very people you are attempting to defend have said.
Your examples are laughable

They are paid by sections of the media to create clickbait headlines - the DM and the Sun being the prime movers, they represent a tiny fraction of fans as seen by the "mass protest" of just two guys with silly signs last weekend.

Clubs need a decent supporters club where all views can be shared - sadly that's not THST who are just a bunch of self appointed egotists wildly out of touch with most of the fan base.

Guess that rant was your response to my post .... OK you think it's an NFL stadium even though it's used 90% of the time as a Football stadium, has a 17k Football terrace and is owned by a Football club ... let's just agree to disagree.

Substantial investment went into making it a multipurpose venue with an artificial pitch (which I assume is used for concerts and boxing matches and the like as well to spare the natural grass the wear and tear?)

And of course also the NFL locker rooms, which hopefully can be repurposed if that use case ever dries up. Square footage is a precious resource.

These are sensible and justifiable expenditures, IMO, but there’s no doubt the purposes of the stadium for ENIC are broader than just Spurs.

Yup sorry , I was in an area that have 3G !?! ( didn’t know it still existed )

So you agree what ENIC said about the stadium ? That’s it’s primarily a NFL stadium or did they just lie to everyone ? And if you agree with enic’s statement doesn’t that leave a bad taste in your mouth as you support the football club after all .

And why are we tenants ? Obviously I’ve no idea but it could be seen as the stadium being sold off to a NFL franchise at some point & we remain tenants.

I don't think there's any chance London ever gets an NFL team. The amount of money it would take to fly a team and their equipment to the US eight times a year would be crazy. Not to mention the time difference.

It's an all purpose stadium whose primary design and function is for football .... nobody apart from you has ever pretended anything different. Misquoting or paraphrasing won't change the reality.

Nobody would disagree that extra money was spent to make the stadium multi-role, most would recognise that as good business, for you to make post after post pretending it's anything other than primarily a football stadium ... why? ... for heaven's sake just let it go.

It does seem crazy but there is some logic - the NFL has reached saturation in the US - to attract larger audiences requires expansion outside the borders, and the timezones, of the US - as with EPL football playing games in Europe allows for a US breakfast audience, a European daytime audience, and an Asian evening audience ... all watching live, fantastic for global sponsors.

I agree that it makes little sporting sense for players and teams, but as we're seeing more and more with TV's influence on football match timings, the guys who pay the money call the tune.

Let what go , I find your argument funny & it’s entertaining me.

Ok so the head of the business development was lying . Got it .
