I was too, he was up there with the best midfielders in Europe on form which is why we had to pay so much. I have never seen a player with so much talent simply waste it.

In terms of talent he had much more than Modric actually.
I mean he had pretty much all thad Luka have and had, but on top of that he had bigger frame and ability to physically hold off number of players and to really change direction shaprly with just a drop of his shoulder. Plus he also had goals in him.
But Luka always was role model professional in every possible way.
It is combination of talent x application. Ndombellyfat had absolutely ridiciulous amount of talent, but 0 application. But when you multiply it with 0, then result is 0. And he is absolute zero, while Luka totally earned his Ballon do'r and legend status.
Sorry I mean he is a free agent in 2025 so he will be with us 23/24 season then gone thankfully.

What an absolute monumental waste of talent... which he clearly has/had... just with absolutely no desire to apply himself to get the maximum out of his undoubted natural ability...
I dunno what's bigger right now; his bank balance, his waistline, or the fuck up we made by signing him in the first place!
...and to think there are players with a fraction of his ability, but who apply themselves properly, and actually make a decent career out of what they have!
