Is it?

He probably believes that Napoli is beneath him just as much as Spurs. Where the guy got this elevated opinion of himself I have no clue, but he honestly believes that he shits gold and only Madrid, Barca, PSG, and Bayern are worthy clubs for his services.

I think it is pretty clear that he has zero future here and zero chance at any of those clubs now. He could be deluded enough to think that isn't the case, but you would think there is someone in his life who could give him some reality. Going to Napoli gives him a much better shot at getting to those teams than staying here.

I also think, based on him in the documentary that he isn't too keen on England as a whole so getting out and back to mainland Europe might have some appeal, but that is obviously a lot of speculation on my part.

Literally his entire time at Spurs has been plagued by supposed reports of "he has one good game and then believes he should be playing at a higher level." And it's hard to poke holes in those ITK reports because they appear immediately credible. I honestly don't believe he has anyone giving him honest information. I think everything about him screams family and friends that just tell him what he wants to hear.

That I think is more credible in many ways, and you've seen it with many footballers who get disillusioned after spending time in France, Italy, or Spain and who expect a more stereotypically luxurious and resort-style lifestyle. It's by no means regular because for every diva footballer that wants to sun on the beach after practice every day, you do honestly see other footballers that really love it and thrive in England.

Good loan if true, they can at least pay his wages. Good chance he can perform well, at least settle into a French team and maybe have the money to take him off our hands if loan is successful.

His own self inflated EGO will hopefully carry this through, as he thinks he is far too talented for lowly Tottenham..

Good riddance, please let it happen.
