To be fair, there’s about 10 wasted numbers in there.
This guy could definitely have some mental illness going on.

It can, some people with mental health issues may struggle to do very simple things, like have a wash or brush their teeth

It most certainly can. I have ADHD, and I've been considered lazy and uncaring for most of my life, people didn't understand that it was ADHD.

Well, you say that, and I was among those laughing at the time.
Given some of the comments above, rather than it never getting old, it should be that we should never forget that it turned out that there were underlying, hidden issues as to why he looked like that. It was a lad who gave us some brilliant moments after all.
Maybe he doesnt have footballing ambitions and is happy with being rich and living his life . Thats not really mental illness. Just not caring about football that much just because he is good at it.
It's one of the peculiarities of our age that will probably level out, there's a weird need to diagnose and medicalize every issue. It's probably a correction to ignoring 'emotional health' for so long, but it's 100% being abused. With all poor behaviour having to have a root cause in some neurological deficit or some undiagnosed illness. Under qualified people handing out oppinions like eminent professionals.
Absolutely true, though we should also have a degree of sympathy for people who are just kind of in a negative way.
And there are obviously other things at play in comparison to someone like David Bentley, another big money signing who didn't care to put the work in to be a top level footballer, but never got half the same abuse.
The situation is an incredible disappointment and pisses me off to no end, but that doesn't make Tanguy some inhuman monster. Though it is going to make him an ex-footballer in very short order, same as Bentley.
