Yeah literally all this shows is that the attack minded ones get more goals and assists (shock) and that Lo celso is useless (shock).
Ndombele literally had a period under Jose where he was essentially a #10.
Which Jose did to try and find a place in the team for this wildly talented player who couldn't be counted on off the ball.
Yeah, exactly. Ndombele couldn’t be counted on to do the unglamorous side of being a CM so he got pushed up.
His G/A record for a player who is very much focused on the glamorous side of the game is really poor.
He’s not productive enough to be a #10 and not industrious or aware enough off the ball to be a 6 or 8 at the top level consistently.
He may have been a very good player 10-15 years ago but the modern game has moved past easy on the eye midfielders who don’t produce G/A to a high level or provide work ethic/stability.
If N’Dombele showed a fraction of the dedication to his craft that you do in trying to convince everyone he’s not a lost cause, he’d be a world beater and a starter for Real Madrid!

Typically partnered with players the likes of: Sissoko, Højbjerg and Skipp.

Ndombele was basically an attacking midfielder for spurs outside of his first several appearances. Mourinho even had him playing higher than Kane defensively (probably to save his legs defensively because he’s only useful with the ball).
How is it useful comparing g/a to Bentancur, lo celso, PEH, Skipp and winks? He doesn’t even play the same position.

Hes sooooo much better than Lo Celso and Ange definitely preferred him to Lo Celso as a player but if he can't be trusted there's no point.
I hate that in football, magic is pushed down the pecking order in favour of hardwork sometimes.
I'd rather have Ndombele on my bench than Lo Celso. Neither are starters. And Ndombele doesn't have a pathetic injury record either.

Talent is worth diddly squat if you can’t be trusted to put in the hard yards.

Indeed. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
Hoijberg works hard. Skipp works hard. Many very uninteresting players over the years have played for Spurs and generally failed to win the fans.
What I want is talented players who work hard.
Not talented players who don't work hard or hard working players who lack talent.
