What the heck did we do to upset the football gods to deserve this?
Even now, there were aspects to Berbatov's game that I feel were superior to Kane's. Particularly how little time he needed on the ball to do something with it. Kane generally needs a few touches before he has effective control but with Berbatov that ball was already in the possession of another player or in the back of the net.
He was also Mr Reliable from the penalty spot. He never missed a penalty for us and he took some very high pressure ones for us like the one against Chelsea in the 2008 Carling Cup Final.

He’s our record signing .
He’s had rotten luck with the managerial merry -go-round since he arrived.
He’s got off to a bad start ;
But : He’s a professional athlete , a totally committed and dedicated one at that.
He’s probably feels far far worse about how things have panned out than we do .
We should be ” feeling his pain” and wishing him well .
Just consider :
He’s about to go into the final year of his current contract . He’ll be desperate to turn things around . ; and thereby land a new 5 year deal with a club that clearly means so much to him .
He doesn’t just want to sign a legal document confirming his employment with ”FC Random” just ” to put food on the table ” IMO .
Not ”our” Tanguy .

I’m convinced that he won’t be waiting for pre-season to start getting match - body ready .
Hell No !!!!
He’ll already be just totally ” on it”up and out of bed at 04.30 ; hitting the hard miles . Hungry ,determined and with a point to prove (see following clip ) .

I loved kanoute Sevilla had a right touch there. He was brilliant for them he had a great partnership with that Brazilian guy who's name I forget.

Hated Defoe and Keane for taking minutes off Kanouté. Him and Berba would have been unstoppable - yet the post hiding coward and the offside merchant wasted season after season
