Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not long until it’s under a year. I said this last year but we should just buy him out of his contract.
I hear your point and get the potential advantages of doing so .

But ; and the following ( see below)
may read loopy ; but I really mean it. Give it a go :

Why should we have to buy him out of his contract : we’ve already spent a fortune getting him into his contract (and keeping him employed) thus far . Surely.

He should be paying US to get out of. his contract with US .

( Assuming he’s got things he’d rather being doing elsewhere) .

A contract is a reciprocal and binding agreement. AFAIK.

Sorry , and I’ve alluded to this before ; if he’s paid by the club
( and thereby directly and indirectly) by us : he should work for the club/us .

I’m not saying running around doing laps at Hotspur Way with Academy prospects inbetween putting out cones . Or helping carry boxes of branded apparel into the The Tottenham Experience for that matter.

He could be doing really important and significant community work for example. He could be helping to coach / train / inspire disabled footballers etc .He could end up saving someone’s life by inspiring someone else to stop carrying a knife . You get the idea.

The club ( like all clubs ) milk the whole Corporate Social Responsibility thing . I get that and why they do so .

But in my opinion , when I’ve read and watched say LK doing stuff ; I’ve actually got the feeling that it’s actually more about LK and the community ; rather than ENIC’s CSR ratings. Maybe that’s just me .
Why couldn’t Tanguy do that full-time for the next twelve months ?
He’d be on the payroll and doing his bit .

Would that be too much to ask ?

It could be the making of him.

Put simply; if he’s paid ; he stays . AND DOES SOMETHING USEFUL AND WORTHWHILE.

If he’s not into the
“playing football “ side of things ; then for the money we paid for him and pay (ongoing) to hîm ; he should do his ( excessively highly-paid ) job in a way that works for him , his employer and ( hopefully)
others .

WE SHOULD NOT JUST PAY HIM UP HIS WAGES DUE . AND LET HIM SASHAY OFF TO SAUDI or the MLS ( to rack up his collection of medals) or a Sandals resort in Antigua ; if that’s his preference.

Apologies for the rant ; but for so many many reasons and in so so many ways ; Tanguy just means WASTE to me . I actually think it’s a shame. A F***ing shame .

Apologies again for going full Mr Angry from Steve Wright in the Afternoon ( ça 1981) but f### it ;
the whole TN saga touches a nerve . Sorry.

Even now, there were aspects to Berbatov's game that I feel were superior to Kane's. Particularly how little time he needed on the ball to do something with it. Kane generally needs a few touches before he has effective control but with Berbatov that ball was already in the possession of another player or in the back of the net.

He was also Mr Reliable from the penalty spot. He never missed a penalty for us and he took some very high pressure ones for us like the one against Chelsea in the 2008 Carling Cup Final.
Never doubted that he was a talented player but I'm just saying he is not worth £100 mil today. Kane was worth £100 mil at 29.... Sonny wasn't worth 100mil when he got the golden boot.

I get it he was one of us and was great for 2 seasons but to put him as same level as Kane and other top level strikers really crazy.... I put him a level below guys like Kane, Drogba, Rooney, Suarez, Aguero.

Its my opinion, people can get butthurt by it and I don't care lol.

Well you have to begin with understanding that his contract doesn't read "Ndombele works for THFC until June 2025". He's a professional footballer with a contract to play professional football for the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. There's certainly clauses that likely require his attendance at some community events, but will certainly be clauses on his side limiting the scope/requirement of such appearances he's required to make. And, honestly, as people bring up banishing a player to the academy like Rose - it's entirely likely that many players have clauses limiting such treatment to physical rehab and that excluding them from training with the first team would void the contract (with penalty).

Not all players are mugs like Harry with his brother for an agent.

I love kane and he's the best striker I've seen at the club but berbatov had qualities that kane cannot get close too. Berbatov really was a top level striker at one point if he wasn't ferguson wouldnt of chased him so hard.

A mutually agreed contract termination is the best thing for all parties I think so fingers crossed that tweet is true.
