I stand by what I said earlier, I do think he could've been that good if only he had the right mindset. When he was 100% fit & focused, be it for Lyon or Spurs, he was incredible. Some games for OL in the mighty CL, he was untouchable even. Technically he was on another level, those dribbling abilities incl in tight spaces, the ease with which he could beat the press, carry the ball up the pitch, deliver mad passes, score worldies...But talent without hard work is nothing.One thing we do agree on however is that we fucked up big time signing him, especially on such a mad deal. Hopefully we'll never have another one of those.

Good idea in principle. But unless every club buys into it, it won't work. If, for example, player X is wanted by 3 different clubs, all offering about the same salary. If one of the 3 clubs inserts a performance clause in the contract, and the other 2 don't, that could hugely effect his decision about which club to join.
The only time you do tend to see something like 'performance clauses' is when a injury prone player is on a 'paid when play' contract.
I was so excited by his arrival and so glad now to hear he is finally going. What a waste of time and talent.

Good for you I hate the bloke but the idea some are punting he wasn't all that few stepovers blah blah. It's nonsense he is a ridiculously talented footballer he had more innate ability than 90% of players. I know it turned into a shit burger (about the only type Tanguy wouldn't eat) but I'm glad we took the risk and really hope we'd be brave enough to do it again. The horrific irony is you see in this clip the fat bastard recieve the ball deep and be brave enough time and again to beat the press put the players in front of him down and pass directly to start attacks....its prototype requirements for what Ange needs. Spurs man it's unreal
