Legend Terry Yorath

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I was looking to check that it hadn't already been posted.

Keith Burkinshaw signed him from Coventry which wasn't mad at all. Had a lot of creative MidFielders clearly with Hoddle, Ossie and Ricky but not much beef.

Yorath did that very well, played almost all the 1979-80 season.

Real shame about Terry Yorath.

Was brought in at Spurs to protect Glenn Hoddle on the pitch if the truth was to be told. A proper hard but fair old school player who will probably be remembered for his contribution to Leeds Utd's 70's team and at Coventry City more so than the two seasons he spent at Spurs.

Graham Roberts emerged to replace Yorath at Spurs but he never let Spurs down and deserves to be remembered for his time here too. Good honest professional who helped transition the newly promoted Spurs into the trophy winning group that followed.

R.I.P. Terry Yorath

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,rest in peace. Amen.

75 isn’t that old but he had a bit of a drink problem

Always liked him as a player for us

RIP Terry

In the Graham Roberts mould the stereotypical 'hard man' and although he left us halfway through his second season he was a reliable ever present protection for the likes of Glen & Ossie appearing over 60 times in the Lilywhite....had an incredible career both as a player and manager and apparently the first Welsh man to appear in a European Cup final...RIP tough guy.. 👏

Are you a vicar in your spare time?

I remember when we brought him, he made a massive change to our fortunes. He added steel to our midfield and protected the defence. I was surprised to read he was only here 2 years as it seemed longer. A player I remember well.
