If someone offered me top 4 now I would bite their hand off. Not being defeatist just think Wembley could cost us points. Guarantee some mid table sides will walk away with a point where last season at WHL we blew them away. (i'm looking at you WBA, Stoke). One thing is for sure away form will need improving on.

Sunday 20 August
4pm Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea (Sky Sports)
9 hour overnight flight back from Florida into Gatwick, and then straight onto Wembley for 4pm. Then 3 and a half hour journey back home to Somerset. Work at 7am the next day. Going to be absolutely shattered but i have my priorities set straight, Spurs all the way hahaha

As much as i hate the doom mongers, i think that the stadium merry go round and the necessary frugality caused by the build will mean that we will see a slight slump in form all of which i feel is completely understandable and inevitable.

If anything our success over the last few years is ahead of schedule. Once we are established in the new stadium proper and we can start really competing commercially then the sky is really the limit. But for now a top four (three?) finish and maintaining a CL presence would be acceptable for me. Also massively depends on whether the "big dogs" under achieve again.

Unfortunately i feel that anything less than a trophy would be viewed as a failure by many for and against the club.

The promised land is closer than it's ever been, within touching distance, just need to be happy and patient with these rations until then.

If we dont sign anyone we will finish bottom on record low points
If we sign a player we will win the league by a landslide

Newcastle United (A) – Sunday 13 August, kick-off 1.30pm – live on Sky

Huddersfield Town (A) – Saturday 30 September, kick-off 12.30pm – live on Sky

These two fixtures stand out for me...
Newcastle and South Yorkshire for lunchtime kick-offs...

They really DON'T GIVE A shit about where fans have to travel from, and what time they'd have to leave to get there!

I imagine plenty of Spurs fans will be spending Saturday night in Newcastle.. . ...and stagger over to the ground, bleary eyed first thing Sunday!

My personal goal/expectation for us is the top 4. Getting the league win or challenging seems a bit farfetched 3 years running but would obviously be ideal. But getting a solid 3rd straight top 4 place and a 3rd straight year of CL football as well as one of the two cups would be a grade A season for us considering all the factors going into it with a home away from home and whatnot.

Fair enough, but I do care if it's full or not. It's difficult (especially in a massive ground) to get things going when the like minded fans are all spread around, and with this in mind it is essential to get the migration to the new place right.

Wouldnt it be nice if the club put all the PL and Shelf renewals in one end...

As for next season, champions

I don't get this "the big boys under achieve again" they finished below us these past few years because we were better than them, not because they under achieved.

If we can get to grips with Wembley early on, I would expect us to be around the top again. Why not? We have a great togetherness, a team full of players strong within a system that believe in the coach and believe in each other with the best defence in the league and the deadliest striker.

Considering the obvious elephant in the room (i.e. Wembley)...

Aim: 4th

Hopes: 3rd or higher (love skipping the CL qualifying round and seeing one of the wealth monkeys sweating for their season a mere few weeks in!)

Heart says: Chaaaampioooooones!!!!!

Kane 40+ goals all competitions.

If he plays every game (barring league cup) that is actually well below his goal rate at the moment. Mental.
He just needs to hit the ground running in the first couple of games - and that's not meaning to have a go at him for the past couple of seasons: post Euros-malaise was pretty understandable for him and Dele last year.

A hatrick against Newcastle would do the trick.
