Above all that rant was about a group of players that had perpetually come up short for years without ever having their places in the team threatened as the club blamed decorated manager after decorated manager for Levy's failure to turn over the squad.
We have many problems and a still-insufficient squad, but the guys targeted there are almost entirely gone.

Ange isn't cuddly Mr. Tottenham by any means, but he wants this job and is still fighting for it.

...but that's it - it's the personnel that are flawed, not Ange's system - Biss and Sarr are not good enough, period. Bentancur could be effective with a strong DM partner a la Sandro or Dembele...

Seeing this again is just sad. I admit, I was getting so frustrated when we were playing poorly before he left, but I really wonder what he could've achieved if we had owners who weren't too busy gentrifying N17.

Even with our poor recent form and a high injury toll, our goals for and against still have us rated quite highly. That has to be something to do with Ange's tactics and game style.
We need to at least see out the season with Ange and see where we end up. A few players back and a good run of results we can still finish top 4.

I mean, I get that opinions are like assholes - everyone got one. But one stupid tackle in the game that was as good as gone and our 22-yo player who has been playing every game, incl being absolutely everywhere in City defeat + helped to turn around West Ham game is "not good enough" all of a sudden? Please.
Also saying that Bentancur would be good with DM but Biss and Sarr are not good enough sounds like absolute mental gymnastic. When you add a good DM into the mix, absolutely EVERYTHING changes and obviously everyone from that mix should be reassessed. I would actually love to see a proper DM (say Wanyama at his prime) with then Sarr/Biss/Benta next to them and designated #10 (most likely Madders) in front. That together with dropping fullbacks bit deeper would absolutely change the shape. But none of this is happening under Ange.

Ange has got it absolutely right. Lul the world into thinking we're crap, then burst their little bubbles with a massive unbeaten run, conceding no goals and scoring for fun, racing up the table an winning cup after cup. His plan is coming together very nicely - the first part has worked like a dream - and speaking of dreams, isn't it about time I woke up?
