Which one of the shiny happy people started this thread genuinely curious...and would you still create it?. I didn't come here to gloat because I love THFC and have for decades. But we are currently an on field joke. And it was obvious from around two thirds of last season.
To watch the coaching team repeatedly fail to fix the obvious flaws in the team told me there was a serious tactical and technical deficits at the heart of this project. Which makes sense because the leagues our manger excelled in are too poor and basic to be beneficial in any way in the EPL. But look at the catalogue of hamstring injuries can you not learn from this?
Ange is honest, I genuinely think he thought Bergvall was good enough, that Dragusin and Johnson were elite and it's because he underestimated what he was facing. But it's hubris to carry on with this bankrupt system on the back of 18months evidence of it's utter unsuitability.
This is your safe space so I'm going to give an option that isn't get rid of him. Go and pay a Ralph Raggnick get him in as D.O.F or technical director or some bullshit title. Get rid of men at work and Mason, get a set peice coach, in fact go get Gianni Vio back, and insist Ange adjusts his system with their help into one fit to use on modern elite soccer. It his ONLY HOPE.

...but is our current plight just down to the players' lack of desire, as Conte would have it? I'm not at all convinced of that. Most of us are agreed that it's mostly a mixture of tactical buffoonery and (more importantly) a lack of investment in top-top players that are our main problems currently.
Selfish individuals on the pitch? I didn't see that yesterday. I saw ineptitude, yes - and I saw a poor strategy, but I saw a fair amount of desire and a consistent effort to work as a team (albeit a failed one).
