Match The Bodø Affair - Part Two: Bodø/Glimt of Nordland vs The Mighty Tottenham - 2000hrs 8th May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 2

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I do worry we have nobody who can actually keep the ball. However to put us out they have to score 3 goals. I know we are shit but I just cant see them overturning that. We'd have to be unbelievably useless, which I know we are more than capable of, but I think we will be fine and go through. I'm never positive usually but even though it will be a painful match, I think we will be fine.

Realistically with the huge gulf in quality between the two sides we should be able to set up tidy, hit them on the break and put 3 or 4 past them since they need to chase the tie, a PL team shouldn't be letting a side like Bodo score against them in a month of sundays if they set up defensively. Us being us I fully expect to go a goal down in the first 15 and have no fingernails left at FT.

Yeah we will definitely go behind to an early goal, probably in the first five minutes. In no way will we make it easy.

They may not need to score 3, maybe they can score 2 and have a penalty shootout.

I had a dream last night we won the europa against Man Utd. We played them off the park the first half, went 3-0 up, either Bentancur or Bergvall scored a screamer. They got 2 goals back in the last 30 leaving a very nervy finish. I think I was actually crying in my dream that we won lol.

Not sure mate. 2 goal win after 120 mins gets them pens. Just think back to some of our aways this season, Galatasary, Liverppol x2, AZ, Tamworth, Everton, Wolves we've been beyond abject. If they score first its going to be blind panic from us and as you say no Maddison or Bergvall, easily our best 2 players on the ball. First goal in this is massive.

I like your optimism. A 2-0 or 3-1 home win would not be that out of this world. With Madders and Bergvall injured, Dom and Son not properly fit too, plastic pitch at a tight ground with an intense atmosphere, it’s not going to be easy. I do expect us to get through. But I also expect it to be hideously painful.

I think we get a goal.

If we go out can you imagine the shit the players will get. The little darlings will be closing their social media channels before they take their boots off!
We should certainly win considering our player value compared to theirs. I did find it annoying to read that Postecoglou says we're not going to practice on a plastic pitch until we get there where we'll practice on their pitch.

I know it was a different team, players, manager, time, etc, but I remember Dynamo Zagreb very clearly.

I hope we go with there with the mindset of needing more goals, not defending the ones we have.

Vicario to pass it to their striker in the first 5 minutes, 1-0. Vicario again 10 minutes later plays hospital pass to Udogie who already had 2 men bearing down on him before the pass was made, he loses it. They cross and score, now 2-0.
They have a very close offside goal disallowed, they hit the post a few times, vicario pulls off a couple worldies, finally Johnson scores in ET and we hang on for final whistle. 3-4 agg

That's the kinda bullshit i'm expecting

Not quite right.

They have to outscore us by 3, over 90/120 minutes to win outright. If they do that, where we couldn't, then it will cap off a shocking season. It's possible but one hopes unlikely

I think we can get 2 goals away from home against this team. They would then need to have scored 5 to beat us. If they can, then it's a painful well done them and fcuking shame on us.

I think we get through in a very scrappy game. Probably lose 2-1, but wouldn’t be shocked if we won as Bodo Glimt are nothing special. If we don’t go through then cancel the transport home for players and manager.
