Match The Bodø Affair - Part Two: Bodø/Glimt of Nordland vs The Mighty Tottenham - 2000hrs 8th May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 2

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I watched the first half and Lazio were terrible. They had the look of a team who thought they only needed to turn up to win. We've all seen that before and I hope we will take them a lot more seriously. Below are some quotes from that game. We also move the ball relatively quickly, so it shouldnt be an issue in that regard.

”They have an advantage on us, and we have an advantage on them. I think it’s evened out. But of course, playing here at home is a big advantage for us because I don’t think a lot of teams are prepared for what’s coming. We have managed to do this in a successful way. The ball goes really fast here, and that’s a key object for us.“

According to Bjortuft, the key difference on artificial turf is how quickly the ball moves along the ground. Lazio head coach Marco Baroni highlighted this in the previous round, describing the “speed in their exchanges because of the artificial pitch” as a key component to Glimt’s dominance in Norway. For a side that likes to play in their opponent’s half and craft opportunities through slick combination passages, the pace of the pitch adds an effective zip to their attacking play.

“The ball goes really fast when you play passes and it’s more difficult for defenders reaching attackers and getting contact with us,” says Bjortuft. “That’s what we benefit from in these games. Of course, it’s a big difference between artificial and grass in many ways but the main key is that the ball goes so fast. It may be harder to turn and everything for players that are not used to it.”
In a nutshell we're doomed 😆

I see a comfortable night ahead. 2-0 to us as we will not go after them and I can see us catching them on the counter. . They had zero quality in the final 3rd last week.

We win Euro semis. It’s who we are 🤣
It felt to me like last week they were happy to lose the game but be within touching distance coming back home. Which, thanks to a daft goal, they are.
They're gonna race out of the blocks IMO and have the advantage of the pitch. We cannot let them score early, even a first half goal will turn this game into an absolute shit show.

Tottenham will win this semi final and will win the cup!

If Frankfurt also win the next match in the bundesliga, we can see us again in the CL.

Very clinical Bod in final third. So homework needs to be done by Ange being super intensive in concentration in defence. Remember when chelsea beat liverpool 2 nil at anfield when gerrard slipped on his arse. Chelsea imo were phenomenal in defence that day. We have to have that mindset..do not concede at any cost.

You mean we should keep more than two outfielder players in our half at anytime????
