Is there any chance the Ange abusers can play with themselves in the numerous Ange threads and leave this thread to those who want to discuss the massive game we have tomorrow after tomorrow?

Nicholson.
Burkinshaw.
Pochettino

Big Ange is on the cusp of joining a very exclusive club. So let the haters hate.

Quarter final you could buy a ticket on the day. Semi final sold out in two hours.
The fans are speaking with their feet.

Time to believe.

We've been asked to wear white on Thursday, and I was wondering who amongst us can still fit into their white Kappa Spurs shirt?

For me, this season started watching us being completely outplayed by a very average QPR team in a PSF. Sadly, we haven’t looked much better than that all year. Being in the EL semis is the biggest stroke of undeserved luck we’ve had in all my years following Spurs. I do still expect us to get through and hope we can muster a miracle performance in Bilbao. If we somehow fail on Thursday, the atmosphere will become unimaginably toxic. I can’t believe how unenthused I am about a major semi final though. Can’t remember feeling so disconnected to the club, the squad and everything to do with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. I’ll be there on Thursday hoping mostly that I see something and feel something that make me proud to be Spurs again. UTS.
How have we been lucky in the EL?
We’ve been absolute shit in the league games. No defending that.

But we’ve earned our trip to the semis of EL.

Lucky we haven't actually played a good team. Frankfurt are the best we've played and they missed 3 or 4 absolute sitters in the last game.
There just wasn’t many decent sides in this to begin with, Frankfurt, Lazio, Bilbao and Lyon were the 4 best sides outstanding outside of England - ourselves and Bodo have knocked one of those out each so on that basis we do deserve our semi final slot, as do Bodo and United. Bilbao are still the best sides outstanding outside in it I think

Yes. It’s a great example of why the teams dropping into the competition from the CL was never fair. Gives these other clubs a chance of silverware.

We’ve been pretty fortunate with the teams we’ve faced and some of the results. AZ, Hoffenheim, Rangers for example. Frankfurt was a decent performance overall. But we had some luck to get to that stage.

We're one of the strongest teams in the comp on paper and have been favourites to win it, getting to the Semi's is not a symptom of luck, it's just that the competition isn't strong as it usually is - the fact that we've played in 2nd/3rd gear all season shows you that.

There is a chance but Ange unfortunately won't do things differently and maintains, "The Boys Played Well. We did alright". It would be like discussing USA politics without mentioning Trump.

Read the posts below. They pretty accurate. No sense in repeating. At the end, scorelines determine if you deserve anything. Our league position shows exactly what we deserve. The EL flatters Us Big Time

Remember back to some of the EL games. We were dogshit in a lot of them. Lets not pretend that this EL run has been great. Plus any enjoyment so far has been nearly sucked dry by our league form. Any other year we are in a serious relegation dog fight.

In that regard, I think it's also fair to say we are here, so let's wait until we lose before we start citing so called good teams.

The irrefutable fact is that we are in a semi-final of the second (by far) European competition, and facing an opponent we should be capable of overcoming.

It's up to this wispy set of players to shut up the detractors.

I agree with you about the shitty EPL form... but going back many seasons, 37 point would have kept Spurs up (as I pointed out in a post a couple of weeks ago).
