Match The Bodø Affair: The Mighty Tottenham vs Bodø/Glimt of Nordland - 2000hrs 1st May 2025 - UEFA Europa League Semi Final Leg 1

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We'll probably have just enough to get through but I wouldn't be even the slightest bit surprised if we balls it up

Maddison out is a huge loss in two ways , we lose our best player , and secondly it means Kulusevski will probably play

TS said that they have a home/away percentage win record of 70% home win record and just 9% away win record.

There's a case for them to be banned from any European competition while they have a plastic pitch, and add to that playing at freezing and below temperatures.

Let them stick to ice hockey and figure skating.

It’s a tricky result. We have to score there to go to the final

We are 3-1 up, why do we have to score?

We just don't need to concede two or more.

Agreed that if we score first it will more or less game over.

If they were trying to do a damage limitation job in the first leg then they didn't do a very good job. They have to come at us next week, and this will give us chances.

I just can't seen us conceding two or three goals without reply.

Agreed.

Postecoglou has to pick the right side to start with.

We don't need to create and let's not talk as though we have no creativity at all.

Sarr, Bentancur, Bissouma should have enough in their legs, and as long as Solanke is fit, then we have options aplenty

Postecoglou can also deploy a back 3 if he needs to, with Porro and Udogie as wing backs, and therefore pack the midfield, so it's about the right choices.

Stevie was banned, not injured (final was over two legs back then, and the silly sod got booked in the first game).
I know was at both legs, still the loudest I have ever known at a Spurs home match in second leg. Could have sworn he got injured meaning Robbo skippered the second with Mabbutt replacing Skipper but certainly bow to your superior knowledge. (Maybe it is because he hardly ever got booked throughout career)

Clemence, Hoddle, Ardiles, Crooks and Stevie P for the second all out. We would just hold the white flag and surrender nowadays if we were missing that amount of quality

If they score first it is squeaky bum time. Even if they score in the 80th minute we have to survive 10 minutes to avoid extra time. We are not the toughest mentally and if we are down 2 key players I would worry. Conceding that goal at ours changed things considerably.

Graham Roberts single handedly won us the cup. But tony parks was legendary as well. Few years back under redknapp saw tony parks walking from pitch to me near corner flag. He knew I spotted him and knew who he was and gave me acknowledgement tap on arm. He appreciated that I spotted him. Parks and waddle imo should get more notoriety as legends for us imo. Both were superb for us.

Last time I saw Parks to talk to was in Maribor. He was one of the Spurs Legends that travelled with club that day.

Of course you have a right to your opinion - just as I have a right to point out that it's utter horseshit that falls apart under the slightest of investigation.

And you're not doing the reputation of Swiss based referees any good whatsoever
Like I said, them things had happened the other way round, you'd have been the first on here spitting your dummy out & saying Spurs got fucked. See you next time a decision goes against us, even if it's the correct one.

Anyway, thanks for the grownup exchange.

Be well x
