The last bit sadly cannot happen thanks to the massive karmic debt the rags are building. Otherwise an outstanding, prescient post.

Indeed, got a bit carried away with the "4th" bit. Shame I didn't put my money where my mouth was.

Very interesting day of football yesterday. Terrible result for the goons and they've lost arguably there most important player to a rumoured ligament injury. Didn't see the Liverpool result coming. You have to hope that they wont have the fitness yet to keep that level of press up throughout the season.

If it wasn't already, today's game is absolutely massive now.

To be fair they didn't really press yesterday. They say and let City come to them, counter attacking on winning possession. To devastating effect.

You look at the goals though, and you can see it was just one of those games, they won't score like that every week.

The Mangala own goal was bizarre. Coutinho had the goal gaping but managed to nutmeg Hart. Skrtel wouldn't score that in another 100 attempts.

I think we'll see this aswell, I think you have to switch Dembele and Dele around, though.

Just looking at the teams (and the way we've performed recently), I'd share the optimism of most on here. But fuck me, this is a dangerous game. Look at their results. Don't need to look too much at the details of those results to conclude that they're doing very well when they're able to sit back and counter while doing shite against poor teams. Payet out is a big bonus, but we need to be on our game and be very, very smart in how we handle this game!

Don't get me wrong. I think, Poch and the boys are capable of it. But isn't going to be easy by any stretch

Fuck these guys: We are going to dissect them and run over them:

It isn't hard for teams to create goal scoring chances against us at all. They just have to hoof the ball into the box and hope for the best. With the likes of Carroll and Sakho as their front men, we may have score more than 3/4 goals to win today.

I dunno, the opening goal came from the high press. And they could have had another 3 or 4. Only going on the MOTD highlights mind.

Amazing. You'd think if it was so easy then every team would do this and we'd have conceded more than 10 goals this season.

and to add to that, I just think Man City are always capable of capitulating like they did yesterday. toure can be lazy, sterling can be ineffective, but more importantly everyone's been raving far too much about the new argentine CB.

So why have teams struggled to do this all season? No doubt they can get at us down the wings but that's where poch wants to defend, hopefully they been practicing defending crosses because I see that as our biggest weakness righ now

I guess he's implying we've ridden our luck a little bit in that department. I wouldn't put it passed us to concede a headed goal this afternoon :dierno:

this a true test of how far we've come this season - how to cope with a fired up team playing in their one and only cup final :eriksenlol:
