Not paying attention to your 'wager?' Because I personally don't feel you could get a website project of this scale for free, or even perks like tickets. There would have been at least some workers put on a team to develop this, and I very much doubt they wouldn't have been paid for their work.

i used to work for the ad agency that designed all spurs's corporate literature; tens of thousands of pounds worth of design and print work. we never invoiced. we were paid in hospitality. they're called contra deals.
