i had close associations with the bankers who floated thfc (making them a plc in the sugar days). hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of work... their fee? a box in the west stand for three/four years.

didnt scholer make us a plc, after stealing the club from the wade/richardson families ?

sugar and venables is wot i remember, back in the early 90s... although the two fell out. dunno the ins and outs. i remember venables woz a bit nawty.

we went plc before suger, but there was some sort of re-issue where they revalued the shares or summink. suger got caned over the venebles sacking at first, but he might have saved us untold grief in the long run by coming clean and fighting back. were very dodgy times.

Spent many afternoons outside the High Court in support of El Tel. In the aftermath, many of us knew we were backing the wrong bloke mainly due to the romantic notion of supporting the footballing man over the business man.

Not sure why they launched the new site when it clearly still has "teething problems" a week later. They aren't even hard to fix errors, like displaying the article number in the thread title when it has no need to be there for example. That's just complacency in my book.

Anyway, I've accepted all of that but the thing that really pisses me off is the "Facebook Chat" social plug-in. I'm all for free speech and giving the "fans" a voice but to have people calling Saha shit before he has kicked a ball for us on the same page that all of the players will read to confirm the official transfer is just wrong in my opinion.

While I may agree that he isn't the best signing and I do find some of the comments pretty funny, it's still incredibly cuntish to give them equal weighting with the official message of positivity. Hopefully he'll use it as motivation to prove people wrong or disregard them as real fans and forget about it but I really don't think this kind of thing helps the club at all.
